How come all DC comics don't feature an army of mini-Lois Lanes? Did they just dissolve after this issue was over? If I had an army of mini-mes, damn right I'd keep that purse around.

Y'know, I'd really love to see Dc put out a modern Lois Lane comic, but I'm also afraid that if they do, it will end up being as cracky as this.

"Superman's Wife, Lois Lane!" Or "Lois Lane, Roving Reporter!" (Because the only synonym of "ace" I can find that began with R was "rad.")

Councilman: And this new project I'm sponsoring will bring hundreds of jobs into the city at very little cost.
Lois Lane: HOLD IT! *waggles finger* I'm sorry, Councilman, but that doesn't hold water. *taps fistful of papers* As these documents show, not only will that project cost the city five times as much as you've been saying... *dramatic close-up, speed line backgrounds* ...but much of that money is going to line your pockets!
Councilman: *flinches as if struck* Kyaaaahh!!

The evil looks they have on page 3 are just terrifying. (Well, mostly Dinah's.)

Since we never see them again, I'd guess the Lois Lane mini-me's and the Mini Leaguers are locked in eternal combat in Lois's basement to this very day. (Except for Aquaman. He's just dead.)

I'd guess the Lois Lane mini-me's and the Mini Leaguers are locked in eternal combat orgy in Lois's basement to this very day.

Fix it for you. :)

(Because really, what else are they going to do? "Hey, you're a bunch of miniature superheroes who have lost their powers, we're a bunch of miniature versions of a woman who keeps trying to marry a superhero. Let's bang!")

I may be wrong...

...and lord knows, I may be thinking of different evil Leaguers...

...but I'm sure the tiny Leaguers are kept in the JLA trophy room in a little glass jar. I remember during one of the "Secret Files" issues during Morrison's run, Zauriel took you on a guided tour through the trophy room, and there was a moment where he introduced tiny JLAers and said, "It's hard not to laugh listening to the threats of what they're going to do to us" or something.

Not sure where the Lois Mini-Mes ended up, though. Atom's harem? No wonder Jean went crazy.

Ahem, Nabisco, that's CHOCOS. Yeah.

And BTW, it would appear that, though Zauriel never looked like Morrison(as so many Morrison protagonists do) in any JLA issues I ever saw...he sure as fuck does here.

According to dc wikia, "Chocos were originally called Oreos, the real-world name brand for the Nabisco cookiee product. The name was retroactively changed to 'Chocos' in Martian Manhunter (Volume 2) #24."

Although oddly enough, in FINAL CRISIS we saw a different bottle containing tiny leaguers, one of whom had morphed into the blue-bondage-suited Martian Manhunter. Considering Simyan and Mokkari were part of the story too, that might imply they were the clones...

That scene where Superman kisses Lois and then loses his shit, oh man, I laughed so hard I cried. I can't help it.

Also, did this just prove that an army of Lois Lanes could easily defeat the Justice League? I don't know what to think about that.

I read a lengthy interview with Kanigher that just left me reeling at the illogic and negative emotions. What a cranky, feisty old guy. He wrote quite a few good stories and many more mediocre ones, and his distinctive overwrought style was always recognizable. Still, looking at their respective contributions to comics, it's amusing to see him dismissive of Kirby.

This was extraordinary. "The touch of my lips seems to have driven Superman mad!" Well, sweety, chapped lips are never pleasant. But I love the little extra editor notes there -- all green K had been turned to iron? Really?

But yes. Mad props to the fact that an army of Lois Lanes is enough to bring down the Justice League. Wow. Props to my girl.

Considering how recognizable the character is (I mean, "Lois Lane" rings a bell with millions who have never read a comic), I can see her own title being launched. She'd be an ambitious freelance journalist contributing to the DAILY PLANET but also selling stories to cable news and posting on her own blog. The natural approach would be to have her going after corruption in the government (local and federal), military and corporations.

The new angle I would suggest would be to have her a well-known figure who is very unpopular with half the country because she keeps showing them things they don't want to think about. Lois constantly whacks hornets' nests, and there would be threats on her life, attempts to frame her, attempts to co-opt her by giving her a show of her own where she could be tamed. I think it could be a good comic with a bare minimum of Superman showing up.

I dunno if this says more about me, the writers, or this community, but... Am I the only one who notices that the Mini-League go out of their way to use Lois's name while tying her up? "Is Lois stirring?" "Relax, this anesthetic will keep Lois dreaming." "We'll hide the means for Superman's destruction on Lois's lips." "I'll cut Lois's bonds with my heat vision." "Lois is stirring!" What, are they afraid they'll forget her name if they don't say it often enough?

Sorry, I mean: "Are the Mini-Leaguers afraid that the Mini-leaguers will forget Lois's name if the Mini-Leaguers don't say Lois's name often enough?" ^_^

Oh man, oh man - someone give me one good reason why the army of mini-Loises didn't stick around. Just one good reason. I mean, it's an ARMY (OK, a group, but they're clones, so it could easily become an army) OF MINIATURE LOIS LANES who are specifically created to kick ANYONE'S ass! They're like Amazo, only tiny and Lois Lane. The Superman Revenge Squad has nothing on the Mini-Lois Army. In fact, I now DEMAND to see a face-off between the two! I demand it, from... somebody or other. Failing to comply is unacceptable!
