Giant monsters, given the chance, can be rather eloquent.
so, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot.

Frank Miller-penned, Geof Darrow-drawn, and pretty much exactly what it says: Big Guy and Robot fight things.

(You may remember the show; that followed this two-issue affair.)

oh, that sounds hopeful.

and yes, the science men have a talking monkey. ignore it.

because it's dead now.

and what is the nature of this rough beast, who's going to have to sprint if he wants to make the 3:10 to Bethlehem?

ah. it's intelligent.

alliterative, too.

and it has more tricks and depth than your standard fire-breather:

bar mitzvahs and birthday parties: the mark of a primitive race.

woah. dinosaur hivemind. freaky.

of course, the military makes its showing. not that it does a damned bit of good, as this kinda freaky bit shows:

ten thousand former humans chanting that? freaky indeed.

still, the military's got to try:

and get area of effect'd:

and that's it for the monster. tune in sometime in the immediate future, when you may get to see the Big Guy.

(the Boy Robot makes a showing, and is summarily dispatched; couldn't included him because i'm bumping against limits on this I-think-31-atleast-more-than-30 page story.)

I do! The show's talking monkey was more articulate.

What I love is how the Dragon is building itself as the perfect opponent for a giant robot.
