Newton Would Not Approve.
Oh that Clark Kent. He sure knows how to handle the ladies. 





This is from Superboy, Starring the Legion of Superheros 197. Just another example of how Clark got started with the Superdickery young. Not only does he knock poor Lana out, he leaves her lying there where any passing supervillain, and this being Smallville there's a good chance one will be along soon, can have their way with her.  And all because he doesn't want to admit he's gay....err doesn't want Lana to know he's Superboy.

That's some classy swooning there, Lana.

It's funny how so many comics of this time period that were presumably aimed at kids featured the girls and women as being the somewhat predatory ones, and the boys are always finding excuses to get away.

Why didn't he just use Super-Hypnotism to make her think that she'd just gotten a kiss that blew her socks off? One of those extra-special, one-each-ten-years-was-enough-another-just-might-kill-me-type kisses. (And yes, he did have 'Super-Hypnotism'. It was in a Golden Age story - he 'focuses his eyes hypnotically' at Lois which instantly renders her unconscious, thereby allowing him to change out of his Kent duds.)
