Who'd have thought so many people would fuss over the Scarlet Witch?

Four scans from Mighty Avengers #28.

Quicksilver and USAgent continue their mission in China, and Quicksilver radios in for help; however, not-Wanda is at the com station, and she disconnects him.  Cassie sees this, and Loki casts a spell on her to stop her from telling anyone (though she still knows what's going on).

Never, Cho.  Never.

Anyway, "Wanda" shows up and tries to get Hank to kick Cassie out, since she told on them to the Fantastic Four, but Hank says that was understandable.  Most of the members head home temporarily, since they've been gone for a while, and Hank gives them sub-dermal keys to get into the Mansion.

Cassie and Vision head back to finally explain things to the rest of their group (before they arrive, Wiccan wonders if they're leaving to sit at the "cool kids' table".

That seems...spectacularly ill-considered.  Nice display of powers from Wiccan, though.

"Wanda" decides it's time to kill them all.

Then Ronin shows up, having followed them into the Mansion.  Tune in next month.

Some of the art is amazing, some of it is fugly. First page except the last panel is entirely gorgeous, then a lot of bleh, but minor details are wonderful.

I love this book...it can only end in a complete trainwreck. Hank Pym's most
fucked up deal yet !!!

I really hope not, I am hoping Hank actually does good for once with how Marvel has mangled the character over the years. I'd love to see Pym become a premier hero again like way back in the day.

Hell, I'll settle for them not driving him into yet another breakdown by the end of this run.

It can easily end with the various real Avenger teams staring at Loki and then Hank thanks him for bringing another Avengers team back together.

Billy! :D

And badass, too, summoning and transforming a deity's pretty impressive.

And again, I have to question the wisdom of Loki masquerading as Wanda Maximov, the woman who pretty much destroyed the last Avengers team she was a part of.

Yes, I know it was explained last time I griped for it but.... my God man, of all the people you could ape. Why not Moon Dragon? You could totally pass yourself off as Moon Dragon.

Moon Dragon is back and has a Lover who is the incarnation of the Lunar Dragon.

You do NOT fuck with a woman whose lover calls herself Martyr and has the powers of a Dark Space Deity.

As opposed to masquerading as someone who's also back (albeit hiding out in Eastern Europe), batshit crazy, can manipulate reality, and is occasionally possessed by the elder demon god Chthon?

When did Tommy go from "Yeah, I guess I'll run around New Jersey vaguely looking for the lady who might be my sort-of mom, but mostly just for kicks" to freaking out about whether she looks like him or not?

Since he started hanging out with his brother, who DOES have that sort of thought about her.

I'd imagine its one thing to have to go looking for someone when you have no idea where they are and another when you suddenly find that you are both in the same building.

Does Loki work better as God of Mischief or God of Lies? Because keep in mind, as God of Lies, Loki could have the power to make someone incapable of telling lies. Which could be like the movie "Liar, Liar" or that House episode "Social Contract" where a patient's inability to stop himself from saying whatever he thinks is ruining his life.

Maybe Loki had something to do with the big Mindwipe regarding Peter Parker's identity. Almost everyone who knows *a* truth has that truth blocked from their minds.

Hawkeye's been wearing the ninja-suit too long. Spying on kids ain't his style.
