So is this the comic that goes with the "I must stop Lois and Pat Boone from making a hit song about me" cover on Superdickery?

Burt Lancaster would have made an interesting Superman around this time...

Reading that story, I have to wonder how much Pat Boone's agent paid for this glowing endorsement. (The story is in serious Mary Sue territory.)

Pat had his own DC comic around this time, so it's no surprise he gets fawned over here. But celebrity guest-appearances were a favorite gimmick during this era: Allen Funt ("Candid Camera"), Steve Allen (original "Tonight Show" host, said to be a dead ringer for Clark Kent), wrestler Antonio Rocca, and of course the notorious JFK appearance, which hit the stands the same month he was assassinated.

They actually started making the Pat Boone comic because this story was so popular. At least that's what the letters page claims.

I have to ask - WAS Steve Allen a dead ringer for Clark Kent? I mean, was there actually some resemblance, or is it just something that the comic made up?
