Ultimate Spider-Man and the Black Cat


As requested, here's the infamous scene between Peter and Felicia that took place in Ultimate Spider-Man #85...

This takes place at the end of the "Warriors" arc (which is definitely one of the series' high points). Kingpin and Hammerhead are having a war for control of New York. Black Cat sided with Hammerhead as she hates Kingpin (for believing that he killed her father, even though he didn't--long story), and Spidey's not too happy with that. After everything's over...

Uhh...I don't have my copy on hand, but iirc she was enjoying a long and gratuitous shower while monologuing how its been a while since she's been on a date with a man, and then adds (as if an afterthought) '...or a woman.' I'm not sure if that's exactly how it was phrased, but that's the gist of it. Maybe someone who access to the book could clear it up. I'm pretty sure it's early in the first issue.

Loved Spider-Man/Black Cat. It got a little "after-school special" at the end, but it's probably the last GREAT Spidey stories before...IT happened.

On the other hand it's great fun, though one has to wonder A) Why given his build and probably his voice, Felicia hadn't twigged that he was probably a kid and B) Actually, literally spontaneously puking? That's a little extreme...

Yup. In the Ultimate Universe, Peter's still about 15, while Felicia is roughly in her mid-20s.
