Amazing Spider-Man #601

Mary Jane sets a date with Peter, but when he gets there she never shows up.

There's also a back-up story by Bendis and Quesada, where Jessica Jones tells Peter how she was there when he fought Sandman at their high school (from Amazing Spider-Man #4; it turns out she was the brown-haired girl next to Flash), and that it inspired her to become a superhero.

So I guess that finally answers the question of what MJ remembers. But if she remembers, WHY is she not trying like hell to get back with him? I suspect the canonical reason is because the demon would have made a proviso for that, re: if you try and be what you where I take it all away and may dies, whereas the ACTUAL reason is that Marvel editorial are twunts and don't want MJ and Peter back together.

Also, I kinda love the art on the backup story. Much better than the art of the main feature, and I'm looking forward to New Avengers much more, now it appears that Jess will go back to heroing :)

	Maybe she had an argument with him that caused them to break up and she simply wants to date other people like a normal rational adult would in this situation, just because your ex was a superhero doesn't mean you need to be with him. I guess Peter didn't have sex with Michelle after all if he was with Mary Jane until six in the morning.

The possibility that he had sex with Mary Jane is still open, though. Since she said that she was trying to get Peter to "come over," that means either she actively wants a reconciliation (so why did it take a year to do something about it?) or she just wanted a post-relationship quickie, which would make her the date rapist, deliberately waiting until Peter was drunk enough, then instigating sex.

	This is the day after that though. He wasn't with Mary Jane, she was just waiting for him to come over and talk to her at the wedding so she could arrange a date. Then Mary Jane slept the entire rest of of the day and missed it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I didn't like ALIAS that much, but it seemed that the point of Jessica Jones was that she wasn't a very good superhero. I liked PULSE more (ALIAS with more characters, brighter artwork and "$@#$" instead of actual swears). As well as revealing Ben Urich knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man, there was still the "Jessica Jones wasn't a very good as a superhero" theme. (Reply to this) (Thread)
