Not to my recollection. Sword disappears after this, too, which is extremely wasteful IMO. Actually the whole storyline strikes me as fairly wasteful; given that one of Kyle's coworkers is a deity, it's not like the real Pele would have been implausible for the DCU, and genuine divinity is way outside of the comfort zone of either of the boys (while earth-manipulating metas are standard fare), so it would have been a lot more interesting to see them struggle with powers they didn't understand and having to find a way to negotiate. And leaving the actual Pele in play in Kon's life as something he has to be aware of and navigate around, a forced restriction on the bull-in-a-china-shop way he treated Hawaii, would have been a good long-term source of conflict. Not to mention that having Pele be an evil impostor, and her devoted follower buying in regardless of her behavior, is uncomfortably validating of Kyle and Kon's disdain for the native religion.
