Meet the new JLA

An SDCC image previewing part of James Robinson's lineup for Justice League of America.

The cover:

So Hal, Dick, Donna, Mon-El, apparently Congorilla (according to the panel), somebody with a bow and arrow...

So he's not using the lineup from his "Cry for Justice" mini? :(

I'm disappointed by the roster changes, but I can understand why it was done.

Is that Dr. Light between Donna and Mon-El's legs? You can sort of see a cloak, a hand, and a helmet.

I'm so torn. On the one hand, Donna and Mon-El and Dick and Donna getting to be in the Justice League, freakin' finally. On the other, Hal's League. I'm of the opinion that Ollie followed him to try and keep an eye on him, but would Dick and Donna do that, or if they wouldn't why would they buy into Hal's stick of being 'proactive' and also I keep seeing this as a snubbing of Canary.

Only thing I'm not torn about is Donna's cleavage. Seriously, DC. Her outfit used to be the classiest, sexiest of the lot.

Well I am glad to see they've been restrained in Donna's constume for this run. They stopped the plunging neckline before it hit her navel. Bravo.

...Dick... honey... stop smiling. I mean, I know that's a pretty small smile there, but it REALLY ruins the Batman look. A lot.

I know it's rather in-character, but it's terribly jarring to see Batman with a natural smile.

Works for me, though with the second generation/stand in thing they've got going you'd think Kyle would be a better fit than Hal.

the modification of Mon-El's costume looks crappy, and some of the material on the side of Donna's costume needs to be moved to the front. But it's nice to see some upgrades to characters who deserve it.

Can we de-hookerize Donna's costume, please?

On the other hand, it's nice to see that second gen get a leg up, finally.

Also, I'm pretty sure Mon-El is still a teenager. Should he look that old?

Blegh. Anything with Hal starring in it is automatically off my list. I do like the other three, but not as much as the normal Trinity.

I'm already sick of Hal, and the first issue isn't even out yet! I want McDuffie's John back. =(

I'm also rolling my eyes at how Robinson is immediately changing the lineup to one he prefers. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good thing to write the characters you actually want to write.

It's just that it drives home how badly McDuffie got treated. For his entire run he couldn't change the lineup even a little, while Robinson gets to do it right off the bat.

Why switch Kara who was already on the team for Mon with a makeshift S on his chest? Are they afraid of a predominantly female trinity?

Some Thoughts:

I like the Idea of the second generations getting a chance.

I would of had John instead of Hal.

Donna should have her Wonder Woman Costume. Either the Dodson or Lopresti one.

I hope Vixen is on the team as I like her. She should be a JLA staple if you ask me like Martian Manhunter.

Cry for Blood was terrible and read like a parody of Miller or Loeb, so yeah, I'm not expecting anything that I'll like.
