You've got to admit, Hush has lots of chutzpah. And it's quite in character for him, given that he's a Bruce Wayne villain rather than a Batman villain.

Hah! Zatanna's face in that last scan. O_O

By the way, is this a different colorist than in Private Casebook/Heart of Hush and ? The colors look better here. Also, Zatanna has the right eye color here.

At that point, if I were Dick, I would have called Elliott's bluff and smashed him right in front of the cameras, asking him questions that only the real Bruce Wayne would know, run DNA tests and then. Then any of the shape shifters in the league can pop up and claim to be bruce (Plastic Man) long enough to cart Hush away.

Why?

Because the mess that is coming is much, much worse.

Also--when did Ra's come back? Last time I remember him being in the comics, he was completely and utterly pwned by Batman after the Ressurection event (something that would be awesome to see on here, by the way).

I admit, this kind of killed me. Because that's one effective plan. It drives me crazy. I feel just like Dick must.

Also Damian was weird in this issue. I mean, apparently in this comic Damian's a pretty regular kid who gets along with everybody and deals with failure pretty well. Are we sure Bruce Wayne's the only fake here?

Interesting, but "hamper your enemies by draining their finances" is less effective when one of them is a master of that exact same thing.

Shouldn't Dick and Alfred be calling up Barbara right about now? Have her start siphoning money from the Swiss/Cayman Islands/etc... accounts of supervillains and organized crime syndicates to replace the billion that Elliot just cost them?

When I finished this, I was like: "HOLY AWESOME ENDING, DINI!" Seriously. It's a PR campaign for the betterment of the city, which looks great for Bruce Wayne, but it's freaking $1 billion a day.

If they stop it, it looks terrible on Bruce's behalf. Just fabulous.

(But where the heck is Tim in all of this?)

So let me get this straight - this guy is impersonating Bruce Wayne, and has gotten a bunch of actors or something to impersonate the other members of the clan, and is going to drain Wayne's fortune dry in the name of philanthropy?
Well, if nothing else, I can honestly say that I haven't seen this particular variation on the old doppelganger theme before. It'll be interesting to see where it goes.

Actually, I think it's a good idea from the standpoint of the Batfamily to keep Hush around. A fake Bruce Wayne will keep people from wondering why both Bruce and Batman sort of disappeared around the same time, and from our point of view will keep Bruce's spot warm, figuratively, for his eventual arrival. And since they know he's a fake, it should be easy enough to control him for their own sake.

Of course, it would be far easier to get a friendly shapeshifter to act as Bruce Wayne for a while, but I can see why they might not just give Hush the boot right away.
