My knowledge of Bronze Age is nonexistent, so I can't comment on that. What I meant about Dixon and Beatty, though, is to me it read as though Babs is going to be right because she later becomes Oracle (and often there'll be helpful narrative boxes making clever references to oracles). There's another example at the end of N:YO where I feel the same, when Babs gives Bruce Dick's message and she tells him, "you're going to need him someday, mark my words". It reads quasi mystical in a way.
