New Magic Trixie? When did that happen?!
AAAAH! There is a new Magic Trixie book out! Why did no one tell me of this sooner? You have failed me, Internet! FAIL!

I will make an emergency run in to my comic shop tomorrow. In the meantime, here is a scene from the last book, Magic Trixie Sleeps Over, so you understand how deeply important this is. (They had better have a copy left, or else... They'd just better, is all!)

Thank you, kind soul, for contributing to the re-population of my wish-list. Between this and the upcoming Beasts of Burden mini, looks like it's going to be a good few months for Thompson art.

Even if the jollity and fun hair and toothlessness and kittyyy and humour and the interesting painted! art weren't as good at they are (to my surprise!), you would have had me at the CUTE PARENTS.

:O

This is adorable! Dammit, I've just realised I'm living in a city with no comic shops left. I feel a bus fare arriving in my future.

It's raining here, and it's like the sun just burst out of my computer screen. This is brilliant! Argh, why does this have to happen when I have no money?

Of course, if the fates were really cruel there'd be an english translation of Navis too.

I can't believe I didn't recognise it as Jill Thompsons work!
That was just the most adorable thing, the whole jumping out of the bath and running around in a towel reminded me of my little brother :) And the cat!
I am so buying this.

So I went shopping today, and bought volumes one and two, I can't wait to read them to my little brother, he'll love them as much as I do :D

What's going on with the floating scraps of towel on that last page? Why are they flying around all over the place?
Oh, and I like how Trixie's parents are plausible both as witch/magical types and as reasonably stylish parents in their 30's. That outfit of her mom's is something you could imagine a witch wearing, but it's something a regular person could wear, too.

The towels are Gramberry's work. See the lady with the glasses and big green earrings? The one drinking coffee and waving a wand? She's cleaning up the puddles. :-)

In midair? Where are there puddles in midair?

She's creating MAGIC towels and your concern is just for floating puddles?

A: I think it's more like she magically divided the towel Trixie was wearing into several smaller ones, and B: darn right it is. Magic is magic, and magic towels are fine and dandy, but that's just standard witch/wizardry. Puddles in midair, however - that's INTERESTING, because it subverts elementary logic, and when elementary logic is subverted, then there's something rotten in the state of Denmark.
