Help finding some Oracle art?
A few days before THE GREAT DISASTER, someone posted some pages from a comic that had really great art of Oracle. I'm fairly sure I own the comic and just hadn't read it in a long while, and I've been trying to find it now, but I don't know where to look.

I remember it being Oracle with short hair and I think the rectangle-shaped glasses. Ring any bells?

I love how clear it is from the attendance that Dinah did all this (Metamorpho, Wildcat, and like Babs would ever call Ollie for help). They're so cute when they're protective of each other.

Except for Shiva. She apparently invited herself.

My parents bought me this trade for Christmas. And now I'm reminded I'm sadly behind on collecting BoP trades.

By the way, would you happen to know who those three behind Nightwing, Judomaster, and Misfit are? Guy in a gimp mask, blonde woman in white, and redheaded woman in green. The redhead looks kind of familiar, but I can't quite place her.

I think the redhead might be Thorn, though she'd be unusually well-clothed if it is. The other two, don't know. They don't look like Merc and Honey, who are the only super-obscure pair from Birds history that occur to me offhand.

And she definitely wouldn't call Power Girl.

Well, it is a little obvious that Dinah, and not Barbara, is behind this.

Power Girl: I'll use my superstrength on the problem!

Big Barda: I'll hit it with my Mega-Rod!

Wildcat: I'll punch it!

Green Arrow: I'll shoot it with a boxing-glove arrow!

Gypsy: I'll turn translucent!... I'm still one-up on Ollie!

I always liked Gypsy's stealth power, and she later added to this by learning to create illusions in other peoples heads IIRC.

I was planning on doing a Gypsy series before BoP got cancelled. Maybe I'll pick it up again. She's pretty cool.

Hey, once you find a method that works, why not stick with it?

'Sides, Gypsy can also do freaky-powerful reality-warping luck magic weirdness, if JSA:Classified is to be believed. And the Mega-Rod is quite... versatile.

You know, Gypsy would probably have a lot to talk about if she and Sue Storm ever had a crossover. Sue has forcefields, Gypsy has illusion powers... what do they even need invisibility for anymore, sneaking into movies?

I just noticed, has Misfit's hair always been purple?

It's the same color as Barbara's. Which yes, has occasionally been purplish, back in the Dixon days, actually.

It's from Birds of Prey, one of the last issues of Gail Simone's run. It's collected in the TPB "Dead of Winter."

Huh. I can't remember seeing that in the comic. I do plan on getting that trade soon anyway, so thanks for the info. :)

It's the issue where Barbara beats the crap out of Katrina Armstrong.

I heart Nicola Scott's art so much. Now if only they'd let her fulfill her dream and put her on Wonder Woman. Which would reunite her with Gail, incidentally.

She already is reunited with Gail, on Secret Six.

D'oh! Forgot about that little detail. But still, Wondy's always been her dream gig.

Incidentally, Nicola Scott herself auditioned for the role of Wonder Woman and was one of two actresses to make the final cut before Warner pulled the plug on the movie.

The one you're asking about, was it Batgirl #27 drawn by Phil Noto (part of the Bruce Wayne: Fugitive crossover)? I was looking for that post when I found out the DISASTER struck, so I asked the poster about it.

I love this shot. It's pretty much, "Hi, let's take a moment to remember all the awesome that happened under this writer's run, shall we?"
