	You know, from a storytelling standpoint, it would have been nice to see him propose to Betty. It would give Veronica a chance to really show some emotion and see if she really loves Archie or is just slumming it by dating him. (Reply to this)

	They've been seventeen (-ish) since forever. Depending on the local law, that's plenty old enough. Besides, who says they can't simply wait until they are old enough. That being said, no way this is anything other than a dream or "What If". (Reply to this) (Parent)

...A commenter on the Publishers Weekly comics blog The Beat reports:

Okay…. for everyone who didn’t notice the big display at the Archie Comics booth at NYCC which featured all six covers…. (Don’t feel bad… most internet news sites and blogs didn’t notice it either….)

Archie will marry Veronica AND Betty.
#600-602 = What If future imaginary story with Veronica
#603-605 = What if future imaginary story with Betty

Both stories take place in the future.
(This was told to me by a booth employee at NYCC.)

I can't vouch personally for the accuracy of this claim, but it sounds far more likely than Archie and anyone getting married while still in high school.

I'm absolutely certain it's going to be revealed as a dream or a fantasy.

I just have a strong suspicion, is all. Unless they've finally decided to kill off the Archie franchise altogether, which seems a mite unlikely. And what is Archie all about? Betty and Veronica fighting over Archie. The eternal stalemate is what it's all about.

So yeah.

Nevertheless, I would've liked to see him get hitched to Betty instead, to be perfectly honest.
