Given her weapons and strength it's an obvious place to go for as it contains two separate and vital areas; the windpipe and the spinal cord, damage to either of which will incapacitate and/or kill.

It's something of a weakspot since it's often left relatively unprotected as most people want to be able to turn their head (Certain movie batcostumes to one side)

How the HELL did Deodato get so much better than that? (even with butt shots)

Deodato was ALWAYS better than that. You can find stuff from the 90s by him that's absolutely superb.

But horrific art was IN back in the 90s, and Deodato is quite shameless. He drew everything all wrong, even though he knew better, because that was the style people wanted.

And people are shocked she killed Max Lord.

Of all the Big Three, hell of all the JLA (except maybe Aquaman when he's in 'Wolverine of the sea' mode), Diana not only has the least problem with killing, but she also has the highest body count (Granted almost all of them were monsters, but still.)

Well I like that she's kill if she has to. She clearly has a more realistic world view than Superman or Batman.

When Diana needs to cut a bitch, she will.

Also, Diana in armour cutting off the medusa's head is bitchingly sexy. Just add the WW symbol on and you have perhaps the ideal standard uniform. Not a big fan of the second armour she uses against Briaeros (?) - it's unrealistic but the lack of shoulder straps is just more aesthetically pleasing.

Yes. The Medusa-fighting armor Diana wears is *awesome*. Adding the WW symbol would totally make it what I think should be her standard uniform. And even as is, it has a variation on what I think is that one old eagle version thingamabob of her symbol (assuming my brain isn't playing tricks on me), so it could even work as is.

The straps on that costume don't look very good, no, but they appear to be made of beef jerky and match nothing else she's wearing. There's gotta be a way to get some support on that thing that would also match the aesthetic. Just color them gold and at least they'd go with the rest of the breastplate thingy.

Motto on the bitchingly sexy, though. And the symbol- the eagle's not bad but I got a lot fonder of the WW after bluefall posted the Diana Rockwell bit, plus it's more specifically Wondy's.

I'm pretty convinced that if Diana had shown up to the whole Doomsday beat down thing, Supes wouldn't have died in the first place.

While I generally like my heroes with a no kill policy (admittedly it worked a little better when the villains were more inclined to rob banks and make goofy deathtraps than burn down orphanages and rack up massive body counts) Diana does offer a nice, realistic contrast. I just wish Superman and Wonder Woman's conflicting views were portrayed in a way that didn't end up making Supes look ineffectual and/or Diana bloodthirsty more often (the former often seems to happen more often than the latter, despite Batman's haranguing and foot stomping).

She killed Laibach Man! This scene always makes me LOL. The very fact that Alex Ross created him as at least a visual homage to Laibach always made me shake my head in amazement. Mostly because I'm surprised that Alex Ross even knows who Laibach is.

To me killing is fine as long as the circumstances mean that you'll have to make that choice. Like a cop who is surrounded by a gang of killers and he shoots in self defense. The only type of killing I dislike is when you kill out of hate like if say Dr. Light says something to someone like Diana and she loses her self control and outright kills him, that I have a problem but if he starts making threats and Diana keeps a level head about everything and understands that he will carry them out so she kills him. That I don't have a problem.

I feel that out of the Big 3 Batman would have been most fine with her killing Maxwell Lord. I mean, yeah, he might be uncomfortable with it but he is a detective he can't let his emotions get the best of him. He is suppoused operate according to logic, evidence and motive. Those are the things he looks for when solving a crime. He might be uncomfortable with the killing but he should understand 'why' she did it. He should understand that given the circumstances she did the best she could.

I love Wondy a lot for the fact that she sometimes will kill, I get sick of that "We must never kill, not even when a villain reaches Idi Amin levels of killing". Granted I wouldn't want all heroes to be like that, but it's oddly refreshing.

Which is why it was so weird when Superman couldn't stop judging her after killing Maxwell Lord, he KNOWS her, and really, should've been the last person to judge her.

When it comes to the kill/not-kill debate, I go by what I call the Law Enforcement Rule: If your life or the lives of innocents hinge on you pulling the trigger, pull without hesitation. You'll have time to feel remorse and regret afterwards.

One of the reasons I like Diana is that she's one of the few major heroes to go by the Law Enforcement Rule. And in this batch of scans, you can't especially BLAME her: most of the time she's dealing with monsters and demons and a particularly large dragon. These aren't things that you can just beat up and leave restrained outside the police station and declare the situation's been handled (which makes me wonder why Batman's content to drag his badguys to Hotel Arkham every night instead of having them sent to a super-max prison somewhere good and isolated)

The bit where she cuts off that monster's head with her tiara.

That's not actually possible, is it? I mean, that tiara's pretty tiny and that neck is pretty big.
