Big Barda's Always Awesome

I considered giving context for this, but I think it's fine without so here's Big Barda with a rather special GL ring.

Teamwork!
I think that's one of my favorite things about Barda and Scott. It's an awesome moment with Barda even if Scott's in on the action. They're both cool and can be so alone or together assuming some editorial mandates don't kill one of them off panel and then send the other into an emo spiral of doom while ignoring the easy way to get the other back. Heh.

"Let's go, Barda. We're done here."

Heh. I love how Scott is totally OVER Darkseid. He just has bigger fish to fry, like taking the trash out.

Is this from "The Nail" or the second one...where Superman grows up Amish ????

It's from the sequel "Another Nail", which is more cosmic that the first. Superman is still Amish here, I think, but he's like a rookie learning the ropes.

Aw, even the brainslug in your icon is wearing a mask!

Scott and Barda are always awesome, and Barda with a power ring is extra hot amazing.

That would be the correct response, yes.

Alan Davis art is so so pretty.

I need to look for this trade, obviously.

Now, see? This is what the Oans should have done with the fourth world GL in the first place: Given it to a new God, someone who would know what their getting into when dealing with Darkseid instead of just blundering in and getting their ass owned.

This is why Jim Starlin is now among the damned. To do what he did to Scott & Barda...(definitely DC's most fun couple along with Ralph & Sue, whom they also decided to ruin)

Speaking of which, did that happen now, or is DC pretending it was just a bad dream or something?

Let's be fair, Starlin killed off Scott and Barda because of editorial fiat. 'Course, the way he handled it was pretty awful, too.

I would actually like this to happen in continuity. The amount of story and teamwork potential of "sharing" the power ring is priceless!

So, so much love for Scott and Barda. *smacks DC editorial with a rolled-up newspaper*

Look again at the preview panel. She's not just talking about her and Darkseid. Although he doesn't know it yet.

Also, couldn't help a chuckle at the "made-up words" line, since that really is all most Kirby-tech is. That and lots and lots of ink spots.

Wow. if Barda had her GL ring, Blackest Night would probably only take two issues. And that's only if she pauses to snog Scott.
