I like Black Hand - the scheming type of villain who plots everything out in advance is always interesting, because you just know that SOME part of his plan (which, of course, has been spelled out for the reader in great detail) is going to go wrong - the question is, what? Also, I like his costume - there aren't that many characters who can make a capelet work for them, but he pulls off the look pretty well. One thing that kinda bugged me about this, though - why did they bother with that bit about the book full of crime strategies? It's somewhat pointless - it never affects the plot. I mean, it confirms his status as a schemer, but doesn't do much more than that - why didn't they just stick with him being a villain who likes using cliches?
