Personally, I would start hiding my dead. But that's just me and all.

They DID! In NIGHTWING, there was that whole thing with dead bodies being used for flying zombie soldiers (or something, I can't quite remember now), and he and Superman ended up moving the bodies of dead heroes into a giant safe tomb inside of JLA (or possibly JSA?) headquarters.

Am I remembering this right? Anyone? Or did I just hallucinate it?

Having read the teasers, it makes me wonder if Neil Gaiman's version of Death is gonna cameo in this event at all. Hopefully in a non-ridiculous capacity.

That would be awsome. but i heard DC dont want to mix the vertigo characters at all with DC,for some reason.

it will confuse the fans and the continuity problems would make peoples heads EXPLODE!!

If there's a major DC writer who hasn't bothered to read Sandman, Geoff Johns would be it. Although really, a part of me is still holding out hope that this will end in a zombie-catching game like At Death's Door.

I told this guy at work that, but he's one of the "ZOMG COMICS IS TOTALLY SERIOUS SERIOUS BUSINESS GUYS" types.

"Man, wouldn't it be great if Death showed up and started fucking shit up?"

And then he started ranting about how Gaiman!Death does not fuck things up and about how I "missed the point of fandom."

OMGWTF.

I'm sure Death has a policy for zombies. After all, this can't be the first instance of zombies in the DCU.

After the hissy-fit he threw last time Death was involved in a non-Vertigo title I'd rather she not appear at all.

Yeah. This kind of detailed inking style isn't really very compatible with modern coloring techniques.

By which I mean I keep glaring at comics as if my annoyance will somehow make Guyphires a reality.

Yeah. But he seems to have been kinda powered up by Spectre/Parallax/Hal. Considering Parallax, he probably saw this coming. Which means we can sort of blame it on the Spectre, for probably knowing about it and going through with his stupid plan, and Hal, for being the pawn that let all this go in motion.
