Fulfilling My Own Request
So since I heard that there was an awesome-tearjerky scene regarding Apollo and Midnighter (one of my favorite couples in comics) in the most recent run of The Authority I have been impatiently waiting for someone to upload scans. When I was at my local shop on Thursday, I decided to see if I could find it. And lo and behold, in the Authority #3 I found it. And it is everything everyone promised.

For some brief background: Earth got destroyed-ish, and now Apollo has to live in the upper atmosphere because the sun can't get through the heavy pollution (he gets his energy from the sun). Midnighter can't survive up there, and is below. It's basically a case of neither can survive for very long where the other lives:

	I've only ever followed these two from Scans_Daily. And sometimes I see scans of Midnighter's various solo adventures, or where he's written to come off as very self-sufficient, and I fear that some writer will eventually split them up. And then I see scans like this :) (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Personally I think that's what's great about them. They manage to be entirely self-sufficient and deal with long separations, yet still miss each other. I think its beautiful. 	I think there was a scene in an earlier book where Apollo was wishing Midnighter was "here" with him. I think it's nice symmetry; both wish the other were here with him. (Reply to this) (Parent)
