It is so refreshing to see a couple like this in fiction. It breaks all the cliches - first off, the woman is the large, strong, violent one, and the male is the smaller, more agile one. More importantly, they're fine with that - Scott doesn't get an inferiority complex, and Barda isn't embarrassed about the fact that she is not exactly the typical example of a blushing bride. They accept each other for who and what they are, play off each other's strengths, and generally get along well. I don't expect every marriage in comics to be like this, but it's nice that some are - it provides a pleasant contrast.
