The Secret Life of Masaaki Nakamura (Fuan no Tane) So when I began this new series of posts about Fuan no Tane, I said that I always envisioned the author as a mousey little guy who lived in a state of constant bewilderment and fear. Don't get me wrong: I have the highest respect for the man and his work. But he's still a major wuss.
Why would I say such a thing? Well, I mean, just look at him.

That there is TERROR SWEAT, baby! There's even the standard, jaggedy triangles, Fuan no Tane "horrifying moment" background behind him!
(Of course it's not all horror! For our bonus this time, it's the incredibly sweet story of the haunted teddy bear. Yes, you heard me.)

It's that time of year again... Dunno if any of you here read Sheldon, but it's a fun little joke-a-day with a talking duck and relatively nerdy undertones, so probably more of you should.
( Today's Sheldon. )

The Living Death!
Well, it's the return of the EC posts, which were easily the highlight of my scans_daily memories... These for the most part will be 'new' stories that I haven't posted, but I'll also repost some of the original ones.
I'll still be posting the remaining Creepy stories in the future as well.

Super Steph Series pt 5- Do you know my boyfriend's real name? Robin #80, #84, #87, #92, #93, #94, #98 and #99! With 2 never before seen scans!
The era of Stephness we enter now is post No Man's land Robin. The situation is thus- Steph's mom found her Spoiler costume and forbade her from vigilante activities. Steph, naturally didn't listen. Tim has been moved to a private boarding school called Brentwood by his father thanks to his constant disappearing acts, making it harder to do the Robin thing and spend time with Steph. It's also growing harder for him to keep his identity from her.
We also have Pete Woods on art, and he is awesome. He draws my favorite Tim and Steph. I love especially how he gives Steph a believable body type for an athletic teen girl- fit and pretty, but no huge knockers or sexay!ness or any of that. And his Tim is so adorable and fun.

It takes two to tango... even amongst comsically empowered agents... I don't recall this being posted before, but it's such a lovely image, I had to share it.

When Wondy was Awesome, part 9 (From Hell to Olympus) Time for another author switch! We've left WML behind with the 100-issue spectacular and the death of Artemis, and now Diana's out of the stupid black straptastic bra and out of Boston, and into the hands of John Byrne.
Byrne's run is... hard to pin down. The man wrote with an agenda; there were things he wanted to fix and things he wanted to change and that's what he did. And a lot of those things were good. He repaired most of the damage WML did toward the end of his run, both to Diana and, to some degree, to Polly. He built an actual Wonder Family out of Donna and Cassie and Artemis. He made a point of making Diana unique and ridiculously first-tier badass, firmly establishing how high she belonged in the DCU power hierarchy.

( Diana really attracts a lot of writers who do their own art, doesn't she? )
Next time: Diana teams up with Zauriel, has a romance with a guy who, miracle of miracles, is actually worth her time, and saves all of creation. And the art is wicked cool.
