Lois and Clark week, eh?
I happen to love the couple very much. Comics OTP! And I did an article on them for Valentines day (along with some other four couples) that I had to get scans for, so I have quite a few Cloisy scans in my retinue. Mostly Clois-y, some are just Lois kicking ass. So, here's the V-day article.

My article for Big Shiny Robot

And now, onto the scans!

Before we get to the modern stuff, here's three pages of 1940's Lois being a COMPLETE BADASS.

Basically, Lois is getting a statement for the planet. On her way to the place, she got a candy gun for her neighbor's kid.

She then tricks the goons into thinking her candy gun is real ("Be careful! Dames with guns get real nervous!" says a thug) and captures them. I don't seem to have that scan, but I'll try to relocate it on the backup tomorrow.

Now onto moderner times...and FLUFF!

Here's just a snippet of Lois snarking at Clark:

Her gloating about her good fortune in scoring him as a husband, complete with hunky shirtless Clark and jumpy hyper Lois:

That's Wonder Woman, and they go off on to get trapped for a thousand years someplace and he stays true to Lois the whole time and when he comes back (it's only been a few hours her time, it's complicated):

The piece of paper is some plot thing, don't worry about it.

They (and by "they", I, of course, mean Clark) angst about not having kids:

Aw, so sad.

You know what we need? Shirtless Clark!

And making out!

Cuz who wouldn't, honestly?

Lois tells Clark to stuff it about Diana killing Max Lord:

Oh, Clark, sweetie, Bruce is used to it by now. I'm sure he won't build a giant robot sattelite or anything.

And more Lois/Clark/Diana (threesome?)

And them being just plain cute:

D'awww. Now we close off on a Lois/Black Canary teamup!

Hope you guys enjoyed these tidbits!

I'm curious about the making out one. Are they talking about Diana? Or perhaps Vixen or Zee? (Clark has too many women in his life.)

Zee. It's kind of annoying, how jealousy of Clark's superfriends has become such a major touchstone for Lois writers, but it does lead to hot sex here, which is always good.

BTW, do you have the comic # where Clark/Lois are discussing kids (or lack thereof)? I would really like to mention that in my thesis project... but I need proper citations instead of my usual conversational "so at some point." ;)

What is your thesis on? Because it sounds AWESOME.

Essentially how Superman as a character has reflected three different perspectives and stages in the perception and definition of the American Dream, beginning with the post-Depression era of the character’s birth and running up through his reboot during the Regan 1980s and beyond.

I just finished Chapter 3 (1970s-90s) and am now just working on a conclusion and rewrites. :)

Sorry, I have no idea. I just had these randomly saved on my hard drive from the old s_d. It's probably an issue to do with Chris Kent?

*cries* Yeah, I would guess Superman: Last Son. I may have to go buy that trade anyway! Thanks

My favorite part of that Showcase chapter is the part where Dinah, unthinking, gives away that she's got a Bat on her shoulder, and Lois instantly picks up on it, but amiably lets it slide once Dinah tells her she can't tell her. I like to think Lois connected the dots and remembered Babs helping save her life and free the kids here a hundred-odd issues later when Kat tried to sic her on Oracle.

There needs to be more jumpy hyper Lois in the world. She's adorable, bed-head and all! Reminds me of Teri Hatcher's Lois.

7th scan, with Lois and Clark in bed - naked....yummy torso!

I think Clark and Diana falling asleep against each other like that is adorable, and I love that Lois doesn't have a problem with it.

Awww, this is so adorable. I think my favourite parts are Lois' snarking (and Clark's reactions) and the super hypo Lois. Why writers feel the need to their couples marriage problems every two seconds I'll never know, this is far more entertaining.

This was fun! Lois is awesome.

You know, I've never seen the story of Lois learning Clark's ID for the first time, and their marriage.

Oooh, these are LOVELY. I was gonna post those pages from "Up, Up, and Away!" but that's okay, there are three more I'll post later :)

Where are the baby conversation and making out scans from? Issue numbers please!

God, I just love Lois and Clark. Theirloveissosquishyandawesome!

An idea I've been playing around with: If Lois and Clark wanted kids, they actually have several options in-universe. There's genetic engineering (which we know is possible from Kon), or they could ask Diana if she could call in a favor from her patron (or would that be matron?) gods/goddesses. One of them is the Goddess of Fertility, I bet she could do something about that. Or call in a favor from any of the other really powerful entities that owe them favors and might possibly have some influence over that.
