Whatever happened to the Deadpool of tomorrow (Part II)?

Deadpool continues to exposit about how he ended up the future, while annoying Wolverine, from Cable #13.

A couple of decades from now, Deadpool hid inside an industrial freezer to wait out a civil war; and then he got trapped inside.

Deadpool beats them up, but then finds himself confronted by Stryfe...

Can this guy or the guy doing the other thing (X-Force?) be the regular Deadpool writer?

Pee drinking?

Why was this necessary in any way shape or form? I have to ask.

Having not read Cable at all, I can only assume that; Deadpool mentions that those that opened up his freezer unit did so looking for rice or water. If drinkable water's that sparse in that time, and Cable and Hope timeslid there, then pee's probably the next safest thing to drink, stupid as it sounds. There's probably considerably less salt content than saltwater, and the waste products might not do you good in the long run, but it's better than nothing.

The time period where they drank the pee was not actually labelled, but somewhat before the time period they're in now - probably around a hundred years before.

But your point stands - the recycled pee was the only potable water in the area - and Cable had already succumbed to dehydration (which is why he was unconscious and Hope had to find the water), so there wasn't any time for squeemishness about the source of the water, as long as it was clean.

You can pretty easily recycle urine for drinking...I saw Survivorman do it once...so I assume they came across some astronauts frozen in space with full bladders, chipped it out of them, and boiled it for drinking. That's my guess.

I have read Cable (best of the X-books right now), and they (she, actually, Cable was unconscious at the time) found some astronauts who'd been dead far too long to have any bladders, let alone full ones. What they did have was a water reclamation system with a full output tank.

Speaking of which, I presume it's meant to have been the healing factor keeping Wade alive -- so how'd it do that with no food to power it?

Not exactly. He and Death had a fling back in the first series so he got cursed to never die.

For reals. It just looks like crappy computer rendering. Then all the colours are tonally similar, so there's nothing for your eyes to focus on. It's just... bland mcbland.

I can easily forgive him to going back to live in crazy land after spending 800 years in a box by himself.

It's not the crazy that bothers me, it's the "siding with the bad guy" part. The crazy is the redeeming factor.

I'm not sure the goal of this time travel trip was for Wolverine to insult Cable as much as possible and torture Deadpool without provocation.

Ariel Olivetti is pretty damn good, but i never notice him use that much shadows and light sources. uses a lot of pasted in photos, then again so do i. But yeah, I kinda wanna start buying Cable.
