Oh joy, more Dini-written Zatanna. I just cannot wait to experience another dollop of ludicrous cheesecake, ham-handed dialogue, plots that go nowhere and do nothing, and page after page of introspection about how much she likes Batman.
I liked Zee better in Seven Soldiers, when she actually had friends from beyond the super-hero community, the world of magic actually seemed to be its own distinct place, and she was able to prove her skills and abilities even when unable to do magic.
I'm not saying Morrison should be constantly writing her; but at least give her to someone who understands that she's as powerful a figure as Dr. Fate or Madame Xanadu, if not more so, rather than tits, teeth and a couple of glib conjuring tricks. I for one would love to see a spin on her by someone like Greg Rucka, Pete Tomasi or even Kathryn Immonen.
