Osborn goes all-out, sending Daken and all of HAMMER out to get Castle. Castle fights Daken in the sewers and defeats him, making it personal for the mutant.

	I kind of appreciate this but have never been fond of the Punisher in the first place. Problem with being in a shared universe with super powered mercenaries. (Reply to this)

Really didn't see that coming. I heard he would die, but for a major character, it's a messy death (usually they keep that for the likes of Wallflower or Dr Druid).
Anyway it's good that for once they showed what happen when a regular Joe like castle fight somebody like Wolverine.
With some other writer I'd be worried about Frankencastle but the few Remender issues I read had very good writing. Going to buy the trade.

is it the 90's again? What is Marvel/the writer THINKING? The only way to make this worse/more of an insult is to have Daken teabag him before he sliced the head off. And what, why use emo punk Wolverine when you could have used teenage girl Wolverine?

Way to jonb out a character that has been around for decades to Lack of Imagination Man.

Only way to make thsi better would have been to have Liefeld draw this. I am a Punisher mark, but this made me throw up in my mouth. Just awful, Marvel. Simply awful.

I had assumed this was in some side universe or an imaginary story, but no, this is real isn't it, this is the actual honest to goodness, 616 world.

Holy flipping heck. I have gone beyond swearwords this is so stupid. I mean I know that there are a lot of complaints about comics but this is just beyond daft, this is stupid to such a degree that I am convinced time itself has begun to bleed.

Are you guys serious? Have you been keeping up with the Punisher at all? There's no way to write him now other than as an absurdist black comedy, which is exactly what this is. You want well-written Punisher stories, go to the MAX imprint.

616 Castle has been a mess for years. He's unsustainable as a consistently-written character. For better or worse, DC and Marvel operate differently - DC can "reset" their characters every so often, while Marvel tries to keep the momentum behind most the ones they have. In the case of a character like the Punisher, that means they're eventually going to crash and burn. Spoilers: Frank Castle has been burning for a while now, and the best you could hope for is someone putting him out of his misery. Until then, enjoy the warmth of the fire and the smell of the cooking flesh.

Franken-Castle, seriously. It's no different from characters like the X-Babies or those recent bite-sized DC characters - a clear joke. But the jokes in Punisher comics tend to have considerably different punchlines.
