I literally facepalmed at this. I was on the bus, scrolling down the page, and then, reflexively, smack. Ow.
Why on EARTH would the opposite of the Sorceror Supreme be the one who brings science closer to magic? The Sorceror Supreme isn't the one who brings magic closer to science.
Also, the logic here is kind of squiffy. Reed is a pure scientist, in the sense he's all about the understanding the universe. Assuming Scientist Supreme is about applied science, turning theory into practice, that brings us right back to Stark. The only way this makes sense is if Pym's defining characteristic is 'science for the hell of it' which does match up with the totally random nature of his achivements, but how does that opposite with Sorceror Supreme? 'Magic for the hell of it' was never a factor in selection for that, all the candidates had other goals beyond magic for magic's sake.
If he'd have said something like 'Reed's too theorectical, Stark's too applied, you're sort of inbetween research and practice and thus a better representation of science as an entire discipline'... well, I might not have smacked myself in the face quite so hard.
Anyway, the Sorceror Supreme gets some nifty toys and a boatload of duties and responsibilities. Does Hank get some?
