Spidey keeps the Twinkies. He always uses them as a means of distraction so the crook can be netted or something. Then he laughs as he eats then, right before the felons' eyes, in the name of Uncle Ben.

Actually from the looks of it the policeman 'confiscated' the twinkies and is in the act of disposing them.

That's what I call fickle. 'Spider-Man is my one true love! I love him - I worship him - I adore him! I'd turn him into a criminal if it meant he'd be with me! But now I have to choose between him and... and... sweet, sweee-ee-eet golden Hosh... Hoshtesh Tsh... *swallows mouthful of saliva* Hostess Twinkies! I love them, too! I love, worship and adore them! I wonder if there's any way to turn them into criminals...?'

I've never tasted Twinkies, since they don't sell them in the UK where I live, but from what I've heard they don't taste that good. I think someone likened them to cardboard once, this makes the exalted idolised godlike status of them in the adverts pretty hilarious and I think the writers fully knew this. You can tell they had fun writing these.

Some of these Twinkie ads tell better stories in one page than many of the multi part epics of today. Even with the standard Twinkie as deus ex machina ending that is rarely deviated from.

I like to believe that the redhead in the last panel is Mary Jane. Also, is that the bridge that Gwen Stacy got thrown off to her death?

The sugar frosted poignancy of the piece is indeed liable to give indegestion. Or something.

I admit, I have been known to find Twinkies quite tasty. But very very sweet.

And I can't help but wonder if the Twinkie cream filling might become Spidey's webbing with a little tinkering. I read somewhere that Twinkies aren't baked, they're made through chemical reaction. I've heard them described as food that "at any other temperature would be a fibre glass boat."

Twinkies are okay. It's nostalgia mostly that gives em that huge following. They're just sponge cakes with icing inside, nothign magical.

Madame Web on her knees before Spider-Man, with whom she is romantically obsessed, as he offers her Twinkies to get her to turn herself in... I can't be the only one whose mind went to a bad place, right?

It's only fair. He gets to eat the twinkies, she gets to eat him some time later. After all, they are spiders, kinda.
