I need to read this arc. I find the budding relationship of Rama and Diana interesting and the best one that Diana ever has. They should really bring the character back sometime. As far as the controversy surrounding it, I think they should have delved more into the Hindu mythology before writing anything about it. They have directly used the A-list Gods than going for the B-list ones and that's why the controversy. He cannot be the original Rama because he is already married to Sita and is considered as one of the prime examples of Human and perfect man in the mythology Ramayana so he'll never think of any other woman. Moreover the powers of Rama shown in the arc are far different than the power of Rama. Apparently they can suggest this Rama to be re-incarnation of the former one or a descendant of the original God Rama and hence Rama-II, otherwise they can make him someone who was chosen to be what he is and was blessed by the power and appearance of Rama and also the power of Kali. There are numerous ways to set it right without hurting any sentiments.
