Perhaps I should just give up.

So, the JLA 80-page Giant.

The plot: The JLA gets scattered through time, and have little two-person adventures.

The framing device: This.

{this is where the teamups go - I'll get to the Wonder Woman/Steel story later, I've actually hit the physical barrier for my ability to be contemptuous of a piece of writing with this and don't have the edge left to tackle it here}

Snapper saves the day, hooray Snapper.

You know, when something doesn't impress me, or just irritates me profoundly, I wax grandiloquent. If I find something loathsome enough, I just get curt and swear a lot.

Yeah, all I can muster for this is a Jesus FUCK.

WE ALL KNOW THAT ACTUAL COMICS CREATORS READ THIS COMM, SO CLEARLY, DC SPOTTED MY PROPOSAL TO TURN THE CHEETAH INTO "THE COUGAR OF CRIME," AND DECIDED THAT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA THAT THEY WERE GOING TO TURN INTO CANON, EXCEPT IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY

THIS IS ALL MY FAULT

I AM DEATH OOC, DESTROYER OF WORLDS STORIES

Back off, mange! I am the destroyer of comics! I was the one who put Blue Beetle on his pull list just to get it canceled less than a year later. I am the one who ordered Nextwave from Amazon one day only to have Warren Ellis announce its demise three hours later. Me. Not you. Me.

I am the Cancel King!

BAHAHAHA!

Oh please, I have 20 years experience as the Medusa Touch of the comic books biz (and not in the happy way that Black Bolt enjoyed)

I only had to like a character for them to be cancelled or, just as often, to die a horrible death. Doug Ramsey? Wormfood. Will "Starman" Peyton, cancelled AND dead. Quasar? Cancelled. Warlock... dusted. Jason Todd 1.0, retconned in painfully agoonising way. Angel... turned into Archangel, in a move I loathed. It's like the editorial teams were reading my mind and producing that which would annoy me most with my favourite characters.

I did think about channelling my powers for good by actively buying "Punished" and "X-Force", but it came to naught...

Bah! You Weaklings have nothing on me! I have singlehandedly cancelled Stormwatch PHD, The All-New Atom, Young Liars, Rex Libris, Noble Causes and Manhunter. The latter two even twice! Seriously, in like the space of five issues or less.
I'm afraid to even set up a pull list anymore. I'm sticking to miniseries and FF, they can't cancel that, right? Right..? Oh god, I need help.. *sob*

I started reading comics when I was about thirteen. Within a year or two, my favorite books--Iron Fist, Machine Man, and Nova--were all canceled.

Thirteen.

Now run along, children, I'm busy liking DnA's cosmic books for Marvel extra hard.

Quick come up with some so bad its horrible BND stories, if they do it in the worst possible way it should come around full circle and spidey will hopefully go back to being at least passably good!!!!

(on a side note does anyone notice how the flagship titles are always among the worst ones at the big two?)

THE GWEN STACY WHO DIED DURING GERRY CONWAY'S RUN WAS ACTUALLY A CLONE AND THE REAL GWEN STACY IS STILL ALIVE AND IN ONE OF THOSE VATS MARKED "G. STACY" IN NORMAN'S LAB

Seriously, though, if they bring back Gwen Stacy - which, let's not forget, JOE QUESADA ALMOST DID AS A RESULT OF OMD - then this shit is officially done.
