Killraven in Gaurdian's of the Galaxy!!!!!

Let us take a moment to recall Killraven's progress up the gay male cycle respectively I submit:

Dolphionboi-

Leatherchap-

Beardaddy-

From kill's wikipedia page.

-In 2005, writer Jim Valentino said his aborted plans for the Marvel comic Guardians of the Galaxy involved Killraven, in his 50s, joining the team and forming an attraction to Yellowjacket (Rita DeMara). Valentino said he would have established Franklin Richards as Killraven's father.[4]

Writer Robert Kirkman and artist Rob Liefeld said in August 2007 they were creating a five-issue, alternate universe Killraven miniseries planned for release in 2008.[5][6]

Jonathan Raven appears in Wisdom issues 1, 4, and 6, and is mentioned in the others so basically the only thing to do is read the entire miniseries because it is by a wide margin one of the most awesome things ever and your eyes and braincells will thank you profusely for the favor you have done them.

Not meaning to drive people away with excessive hype. It's just the truth, is all.

Gay ? well that is just IMO. P.Craig Russell drew that. (I think he hoped so too )

Saying a male character looks "gay" when Russell drew him is a little like saying a character looks blocky when Kirby draws him.

Joking, I think. Or at least not stated in anything I've read on him.

who are at the parties you go to, the man-gays, or the women-sluts?

'Cause, if it's the latter . . .

Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; or is it both? o.O

Wonder if the 'new' Killraven in Guardians will actually tie into the original or be a new alternate version? Either way, looks kinda cool.

That it was planned etc etc yes. That doesn't necessarily mean DnA are going to do that... they've already faked us out a time or two.

Originally Vance Asto couldn't remove his costume or he would die. I don't recall why, do you ??

Because he was totally naked under his costume! He'd die of embarrassment!

. . .

Seriously, I think it was some kind of containment suit. Containing what, I can't recall.

If I remember right his body had been chemically changed by the cryonic process they used to let him travel that far in space. Without the suit he underwent rapid, painful aging.

If he didn't wear it, he'd turn to dust...because he was in it for 1000 years to keep him from ageing.

I have to admit that to admit that I like Killraven's new look more than the classic one. I'd love to see him be a reoccurring character in GOTG, though that's not likely.

In the 2005 series Killraven would have been Franklin Richards son.

Would that have worked though? With the time frame set-up for Killraven's adventures?

Plus, would his mother have been Rachel? (Hey, red hair!)

Yay, Killraven! Killraven ROCKS!
And personally, I always figured Killraven as quite the other way. For one thing, because he, uh, had several girlfriends, or at least flirtations, and for another, anyone who can wear an outfit like THAT and still come off as macho as he does has to be pretty damn confident in his masculinity.
There's a moment in 'the Spirit' that kind of supports what I'm saying. The Spirit is in a tough dive in Damascus - he's just come across what looks to be an abrupt dead end in his latest case, and needs to clear his head and think things through. So he summons a waiter, and asks for his preferred drink 'a nice tall glass of cool milk'.
Well, this is a tough place frequented by tough men, so the waiter is at first startled then amused by this most unmanly-sounding order. He goes over to a neighboring table to jeer over it with a regular, which lasts about two seconds, until the Spirit grabs his throat and jerks him forward so they're face to face.
"I said MILK!" he growls through gritted teeth. The waiter meekly squeaks assent, and hurries off.
It's one of the character's more defining moments in my opinion, and more or less defines a central tenet of being a badass. That is to say, ANYONE can act badass when they look and act the part - the people you really want to look out for are the ones who are badass DESPITE the fact that they have markedly un-badass habits and modes of dress.
