Incredibles 4

The conclusion of the first story arc.

Don't worry. The Parrs mention that Doc Sunbright is working on a way to make her human again. It's the right thing to do.

The trade collecting this arc is already out, I believe. It's subt-titled "Family Matters."

Giggled that Dash got a letter from Bart. This is written by Mark Waid, no way was that a coincidence.

Likewise. Those two would get along way too well.

I'm holding my tongue on the whole "No, We Didn't Evolve From Chimps" thing because this is a kids comic.

That actually is accounted for in the story. The bombs don't actually devolve anything, they just transform. In the first issue, some were detonated in a zoo, creating gorilla-pterodactyls and tiger-raptors.

No, wait, it was tiger-triceratops. It was the bears who became raptor-ish.

Bob saved everyone by eating all the cakes and cookies, and Dash has never heard of snail mail. XD

When Mr. Incredible eats cakes it is heroic but when Lex Luthor does it is is terrible. :p

When Dash said Bart, I thinking of Impulse and thought how the two would give Wally and Max a headache....

Do we have an "everything's better with monkeys" tag yet? I think we totally should.

(Yes, I'm aware that chimps aren't monkeys. But "everything's better with apes" doesn't sound quite as cool.)

To cover all bases, we could go with "everything's better with non-human Terran primates" tag, but that sounds even more not-as cool. Also, humans didn't evolve from chimpanzees in the first place! Humans, apes, and monkeys share the same 'recent' (compared to the scale of all life on Earth) common primate ancestor. Yes, I am just that nerdy.

Space primates are also pretty awesome.

So, let me get this straight. This 'Organa' is an ex-Elastigirl villain who masqueraded as their happy homemaker next door neighbor, and she sent these 'drones' to attack the Incredibles, but HER kids got involved too, which makes her all ashamed, but then a 'devolution bomb' shows up in this supervillain's cell, but Dash has traced it there somehow, and snatches it away before he has time to use it, and then he drops it near Organa and it turns her into a chimp.
OK, I understand all that, but there are two big questions:
Where the hell did the bomb COME from in the first place?
And how did Dash know to look for it in Futurion's cell?

Dash was the one who placed it in his cell, moving at superspeed.

To trick him into setting it, you mean? So Organa could be changed into a monkey. That's a little harsh, isn't it?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

So Organa's grey monsters could be "devolved" by the bomb.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. OK. And she was just accidentally caught in the blast, yes? That changes everything.
