Okay, I'll go first!
Hello! I thought I'd kick things off and I'm hoping to see you guys post lots of pictures here soon!
For those of you who don't know, I used to work as a newspaper photographer. I also shot weddings for a little while. My style is fairly documentary. I have a few basic Photoshop skills, but I don't tend to do much to my pictures after they've been taken. I usually frame in the camera and don't crop my pictures after they've been taken.
When I shoot for fun these days it's usually travel pictures, a few still lifes and the odd portrait, so that's the kind of stuff I'll be posting here.
This is a shot of my little twin cousins splashing around in a pool. I just love the colours and the framing, and the happy look on her face. I shot on transparency film, which was cross-processed, which makes the colours pop. I'm sure there's a way of achieving the same result in Photoshop, and if anyone knows how to do that, do tell!
