Teddy/Izzie; NKN Dorms
"So he's going to help you with your homework only, right?" Honor's eyes were on the road but her attention was split, her focus on her daughter in the front passenger seat. "No St. Patrick's Day playing around or anything."
"I already told you that," Izzie said, muttering under her breath. Sascha was in the back seat, positioned just so so he could stare between the bucket seats and watch through the front windshield. "We're going to work on my chemistry homework. It's probably going to take me all night. He's being majorly--"
"--nice with this, you know."
"I know! I know." Honor's innocence was only a little bit real. She made the turn towards the school. She knew Teddy was headed to college after this, that he had a thing for another boy at school, that he phased through matter. It was these little tidbits, these realities, that made her okay with her daughter heading off to spend the night at school with a boy.
Well. There was the gay part of it mainly, but Honor liked to think she was a progressive mom. Pulling up just then beside the dorms meant she didn't get to say much else though, because Izzie had already leapt from the car and had the back opened for Sascha. "Thanks mom! See you later!"
Sascha dove out of the car and then trotted around Izzies's heels, an eager puppy ready to have a night of fun and enjoyment. But he didn't have homework, and didn't understand the concept of it at all. When Teddy approached he "talked," a mix of barking and whining that was all threadbare and worn, and even his tail was wagging. Hello Teddy!
He was excited. With Teddy's help Izzie wouldn't be stuck at her desk all night. They could do something much more interesting.
