Gabe/Annie/OPEN
A surge in the foot traffic had Annie working alongside the bartenders, abandoning her friends for the time being. She enjoyed it; it distracted her from wanting to get a beer and join in on the revelry. Because even her new-found sense of responsibility couldn't turn off the sense of fun she once had.
She was grabbing a new glass from under the bar when Gabe came up and she felt him rather than saw him. A push at her mental wall, but in a foreign way. Not as though he was actually trying to enter her mind but something not right was still there.
It made her shoot upright, like a whip, and give his newly arrived self a startled look. "Can I help you?!" That came out like an accusation, and she had to force herself to smile afterwards.
