"Long Island it is." It was going to hit Hailey like a brick, but Annie wasn't going to tell her no. The brunette just set to work, hands moving expertly as she grabbed a glass here, a bottle there. Bartending school had taught her the proper mixtures and amounts but it hadn't given her the flair she now had. No, that was all Annie. Just a little bit dramatic, the girl who never wanted to go to college, who just wanted to be part of the band and enjoy the arts and sing all her life. Nowadays she sometimes sang, and being artsy meant splashing a little green coloring into a beautifully rendered drink. With a little spritz of green garland too.
Pushing it in front of Hailey, she took a second to lean and grab her scotch. It was a different world from when they first met; Annie didn't really drink beer anymore.
"Please don't tell me you missed DDH. Because that place is long gone." Dan's Drinking Hole, what used to be Pour Judgement, was long gone. There was only PJ now--clean, bustling, friendly. Safe. Annie made sure of it--not just through physical means, but mentally as well.
