Eddie wasn't as interested in mending ways as Chase presumed. Just like him, she was of the mentality that they were all stuck in this position for some reason Arkin foresaw. Unlike Chase, however, those sorts of thoughts on her part tended to end with fuck you, Arkin Ford.
She went about making coffee as her water came to a boil and when she finished she put a mug down for him with sugar. "Milk expired."
A minute later she was sitting across from him with her tea, half aware of his presence and half too much in her own head to care so much if he thought this peculiar of her. She sat cross-legged on the seat. "I think we're pretty close to arranging a mass meeting for those who stayed. I think there are about ten longterm confirmed people and then possibly one or two more recently." Eddie wasn't saying this to make friends with him, but Ford had trusted Chase as his second, so as twisted as it all was (and it really fucking was), she felt it not the worst thing to share these facts with him. His insight was invaluable even if he didn't really say much. Definitely not the "sorry, sweetheart" kind of guy from their first encounter.
