Ciara hadn't spent the most time with Blue on their patrols, and even when she did he was quiet, whereas she tended to butt heads with Wolf. They were virtually strangers, unlike her and Lora, who had developed a bond and become friends. That meant that she couldn't necessarily read him the way she might have been able to if she'd known him better outside his mask. Regardless, there was a certain uncomfortableness to him that gave away how uneasy he was with going somewhere alone with her. Which she understood, both from a standpoint of him having recognized her as Jack Frost or of her being a stranger he didn't know.
What she did know of him meant that no matter which was the reason for his uneasiness, even if she did give him food, she wondered if he'd even keep it for himself. Of all the Wonderlands she'd met, he was clearly the most selfless. Which would prove difficult for her, because she wasn't going to let him go hungry if he hadn't eaten yet. If possible, she'd find a way to stick with him until he ate, then make sure he took leftovers. Those he could give away, but Blue was thin enough as it was. Somebody needed to take care of him.
As much as she played up the non caring act, it was hard for Ciara to see anyone truly in need and not want to help them. Even if they didn't want to be helped. Which she also understood, because there was a certain stubbornness inside her own self that didn't like being helped or asking for help. It was a pride thing for her, and she didn't know if it equated the same way to him. Whether it did or not, she was determined to get him food. Though she hadn't quite decided if she would let him in the rather large fact that they knew each other. Would she want him to, if the roles were reversed?
"Come on," Ciara said to Blue, tipping her head in the direction of a taqueria she knew of just down the street. Not the best food she'd ever had, but it certainly didn't fall into the worst. If not, there was a small grocery store not too far they could walk to if he didn't seem impressed with the line-up at Los Cerros. Giving McGuire a smile, she told him, "We'll be back. No lemons, I promise."
