It took a couple hours for Vance's power flux to become noticeable, unlike Felix's which just seemed to give everyone any itchy scalp, and Jason's which resulted in a bobbing couch in the living room (some sort of anti-gravity butt problem). It was to his credit that Vance was a naturally honest and forthright person, and if he didn't feel like answering something, there was no compulsory need to shove the truth out regardless. It was until Jason asked him if he wanted a beer during one of the football halftimes that Vance responded that he was in the mood for a nice red wine. Jason paused, but nodded. Then he brought the glass of wine. Vance thought it was too wooden and dry, but he meant to say he liked it just fine. And then "wooden" and "dry" exited his mouth along with the displeasure of most of the wines Jason bought and he realized he had a bit of a problem. It was only exacerbated when Felix discovered his forced truth-telling. She was always one step ahead of anyone else at any given time, and when she popped back a few minutes later with some very pleased smirk, he had to pause. "Is...that a recording device? And why?" He found out why. Very quickly. While he didn't have to answer any of her questions, any comments to be probed about Mr. Jellybean were not meant to be have around someone as dangerous as her. So he was ultimately chased from his seat, taking shelter in his old bedroom, with Felix on the other side of the door. "Go away! You're going to ask embarrassing questions and I have a reputation!" |
