Adiós Sandoval was many things, but clueless was not one of them, despite how incredibly she perfected that image. It was really only a matter of time before the superstar's natural self emerged: first in the minor details, then in the arrogance, and soon the twisted sense of humor that blatantly expressed her self-centered and immoral strides. It wasn't that she woke up one morning having experienced a shift in the night or drank a cup of coffee to suddenly have a life-altering epiphany. Though her first encounter with Mink may have been the trigger, all else fell into place naturally, quietly. Having never come across Callum, Marina, or Charlie in this realm, let alone anyone else she may have known, her best source was Mink. Though she packed an arsenal on her person and in her purse, she didn't actively have any intentions of using the weapons on him. After all, nobody met up with their friend suffering memory loss with the intention of killing them. But of course, precautions were always important, and as previously stated - Adiós was not clueless. There had been plenty of red flags about the teenage boy back when they first met. Enough to warrant packing extra heat. To anyone else, Adiós retained the selfless, kind-hearted personality she'd been inserted for the sake of necessity. If she'd dropped any hints that she'd awoken, that might keep her from having the advantage. Especially if Red Flag Baby Boy Blue wasn't all he seemed. Hightailing it down to Utopia, it wasn't exactly the kind of standards she preferred, but she needed to set up base somewhere. Taking residence in an abandoned warehouse, she went about plotting after whoever or whatever had caused this disruption to her otherwise perfect life. Without orders from the Syndicate, she was left on her own, and figured the best bet was to start with the surprise mayor, Dominic Williams. After all, a role at the head of an entirely new city made sense. And if Mink happened to show up? My wouldn't she not be surprised. He found her once, she knew he'd find her again. |
