New Waverly had been a hub of success and popularity for Adiós, which was why she not only performed regularly there, but had bought an apartment and settled in. It was far different from growing up near the Equator, not only in weather and climate, but in the sort of inhabitant that lived here. But she loved people and found something relatable in almost every walk of life. Tonight she'd wrapped a relatively small performance, a slightly more intimate setting less for the publicity and more for the fans. It came with the usual perks for concert-goers, including the handful of fans who won backstage passes. And so it was there that she lounged as security found the fans who were to come backstage and meet her. She drank from her water bottle, politely declining stagehands who insisted on helping her touch up her makeup or to cool her down after a performance under those beating lights. No, she was comfortable, dressed in her latest questionable fashion choice, which as any outside observer would know was far more tame than what the normal Adiós wore, and sitting atop a bass cabinet. Shrill shrieks indicated the ten or so fans were now in the vicinity, and the noises only increased once they finally spotted her. Most of them were between the ages of eighteen to twenty five, more than half of them female, and all of them with something to say. But she was very giving and patient with each of them, unaware that during this time she'd fallen under the company of someone who was not here to sing her praises. |
