If Lizzy knew how barely Ollie had passed highschool she might find it funny that he felt he was in a position to call people clueless idiots. He didn't make any connection between the two though, he just hated book learning. And reading. And writing.
She reached out and took his hand and there was a surge as his body naturally tried to take energy she was giving off. They went through an electric push and pull, an intermingling of their powers that bordered the obscene. This was the most entertaining thing that happened to Ollie in weeks and an entertained Ollie was a safe one.
It was strange to him that he was touching her at all and that she wasn't reeling back in pain or her eyes weren't rolling back into her head. A prolonged touch from Olls was known to kill. He noted her look as their hands separated but he continued to flex his fingers like he was getting over the feeling or like his skin was crawling. Hopefully she didn't take offense to it he just always got a skeezy feeling from being touched. That's when Ben came over.
The older man seemed like he was both confused and a little afraid, an exhaustion waved over him like he had just come out of a bout of panic. With good reason... he saw their hands touch. He leaned in and whispered something to Ollie and he returned a statement. It seemed like they were having a little powwow about what just happened and then Ben gave the woman a glance before stepping away to do shopping elsewhere, at Ollie's request but Lizzy wouldn't know that.
He wasn't done with her just yet. "I haven't seen you around the center." he commented conversationally, it was his habit to linger around registration centers and get a feel for the other supes in his midst. He liked to be in the know and this felt like a grievous lack of knowledge.
