Her eyes didn’t move from the adapter in his hand. She had far become aware of an electric current when she saw one. Lizzy watched as the adapter went from being alive to asleep once more, the electricity gone. She would be lying if she had said she never thought that there were others out there with powers similar to her own, but never had she expected to actually meet one. She remained silent for a moment, before meeting his gaze once more.
“That isn’t necessary, as I don’t try to trick my customers, but I understand your point,” She said neutrally.
Now that she knew, Lizzy couldn’t help but look at him differently. She could feel her own field begin to grow, but she forced it down, only allowing the slightest of buzz to fill the air. Usually, she didn’t mind if customers took their sweet time, but then again none of them had ever willingly showed their powers like that. Perhaps if she offered him a deal, he would make the purchase and go on his way. Some part of her mind doubted this plan, but nevertheless she figured it was worth a shot. Turning away from him, she moved toward the back of her stand, bending down to pick up a small box. She came back over, setting the box on the table, right in front of the guy. Inside the box were more adapters similar to the one in his hand, though some had different colors. There were exactly 16 of them – Lizzy always kept an inventory check, just to be safe – and she looked at him indifferently.
“I’m selling them for five dollars apiece, but I’ll give you the whole box for thirty,” She said, picking up one of the adapters and handing it to him. “You can validate all of them, if you have to.”
