Applying for a character? We've all done that in our lives. No shame about it. Sometimes, we may apply a character in a public place, which may cause some discomfort, nausea, or dizziness, but with The Form below you can make the process of applying your character simple, fast and fun.

Simply copy the material below, paste it on a comment and fill in the questions accordingly, preferably with your keyboard.

Don't reveal anything that would spoil others for your character's secrets!

BASICS
Name: Tsuchi Utazawa.
Age: 16.
Occupation: Student and Disciplinary Committee Secretary.
Character PB/Icon: Ren Ichimoku, Hell Girl.

BACKGROUND
Character history: Tsuchi had a stifling upbringing in a household where all of his achievements were catalogued and applauded. Childhood trophies put on display, certificates framed and hung. His parents, living vicariously through their child, spent all their energy on his interests and spoiled him rotten; but he had little opportunity to voice his choices. He would come home and complain about a mean kid at school, and they would spring into action.

This became more of a problem as Tsuchi grew. He quickly gravitated to relationships where he had no power. He spent his time pleasing and helping teachers, friends and peers who saw he was an easy mark and took advantage. Recently, Tsuchi has been noticed for this behaviour, by a friend who sees it as a problem.
Personality: Tsuchi doesn't care about how humble he is, or that he has talent, or that he's a nice boy, or hell, that people might find him attractive - because he isn't. Instead, he sees himself as inadequate and helpless. Incapable of coping alone in a dangerous world, he claims. He seeks capable people who will be nurturing and supportive towards him; strong protective peers who possess what he lacks. He begins copying their attitude. Then he abdicates himself of any self-responsibility and surrenders his fate to the one he’s chosen.

Towards them, he cannot ever give healthy displays of anger, or stand up for himself. He so fears being alone that he will agree with things he believes are wrong rather than risk losing the help of this person upon whom he has placed the weight of his attachment.

Some peers don’t understand this; to them, he is a self-effacing, obsequious, agreeable, docile and ingratiating ass-kisser. Those who grow close to him will discover that at his core, Tsuchi is loyal, unquestioning and affectionate, and that he is tender and considerate toward those upon whom he depends. And Tsuchi is more than meek and docile; he is admiring, loving and willing to give his all. But he is also manipulative and has a limited tolerance for negativity and ineptness, as these are qualities he feels are hidden within himself.
Appearance: A tall and thin boy who has black, medium length hair up to his chin, styled so that it always covers the left side of his face. He has a shaded complexion. Always he wears cover-all clothing: coats, tailored trousers and collared shirts.

EQUIPMENT
Possible weapon: None.
Accessory: Disciplinary Committee Armband.

MAGIC
Primary Element: Water.
Secondary Element: Earth.
Arcana: Hanged Man.

A LITTLE QUESTIONNAIRE

BASICS
Name: Araragi Mitsuya
Age: 17
Occupation: Student/occasional author.
Character PB/Icon: Hijiri Byakuren, Touhou

BACKGROUND
Character history:
It's not certain how a bog-standard household like the Araragis, a solidly middle-class household with deep roots in Osaka, could produce Mitsuya and her older brother, Mitsurou. From a young age, they were always concocting elaborate fantasy scenarios to play that they paid more attention to than the work their family despaired of ever getting them to focus on. They were constant companions up through junior high, though Mitsurou grew increasingly solitary and secretive through high school, and Mitsuya simply accepted this and began to continue her creative pursuits alone when he could or would not be there for her.

At the same time that Mitsuya was entering high school, Mitsurou started attending university overseas; contact with him became limited to occasional vague handwritten letters. Mitsurou had always been one to keep private matters to himself, so Mitsuya saw nothing strange in it. Still, it couldn't have happened at a better time, for high school gave her an unparalleled opportunity to branch out and find new and interesting faces. She rapidly developed a circle of unusual friends--outcasts and delinquents, otaku and wallflowers, anyone with a personality trait or interest unique or intriguing enough to catch her eye, and who could stand her eccentricities or other companions long enough to deal with her.

She has spent the last few years people-watching, working on the student paper sporadically, slacking off except when necessary (and still somehow doing well enough not to draw notice), and parlaying her writing talents into non-academic fields: the thing that she was and is still best known for is "Dewdrops", a blog and writing journal. When she started working on longer works (she has produced two novellas with a small following, and is working on a third), they were posted there, and increased her readership markedly. She enjoyed the attention it brought her and the people she met through it, and focused increasingly more of her attention there while still maintaining an interesting enough life to write about.

Personality: "Eccentric" would probably be the best word for Mitsuya. Knowledgeable, eloquent, and a bit pretentious in her speech, she's clearly quite intelligent, even if her grades don't always reflect this; she simply has more interesting things to concern herself with. She is a seeker of new experiences while still appreciating the old, dabbling in the adult world while still having a child's curious, carefree nature. Whether something is "interesting" is the most important thing to her, and "interesting" does not necessarily entail "pleasant". She has a fascination with the less savory side of the world, and much of her writing has to do with this. She also tends to attach herself to and observe people whom she finds interesting.

Beneath all this, she is easygoing perhaps to a fault and finds it difficult to argue with people; she doesn't judge, even when she should. She's good at seeing all sides of an issue, although she's less good at deciding on one, and thus tends to be a fence-sitter par excellence.

Appearance: Mitsuya's youthful features and mature bearing make it difficult for people to guess her age. Her build is quite slender, and she's a little on the tall side for a Japanese woman (around 5'6"). Her hair is wavy, fluffy, dyed, and very, very long, requiring her to spend at least an hour on it each morning to keep it looking as good as it does. She tends to fuss a lot over her appearance, often dressing with an old-fashioned or incongruous formality.

EQUIPMENT
Possible weapon: N/A
Accessory: An old-fashioned gold pocketwatch.

MAGIC
Primary Element: Wind
Secondary Element: Fire

Arcana: High Priestess

b>BASICS</b>

Name: Keiichi Ito/THE PHOENIX KING (post-magic)
Age: 16
Occupation: High school student/FIGHTER OF CRIME AND CHAMPION OF JUSTICE DESU (post magic)
Character PB/Icon: Keiichi Maebara, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

BACKGROUND
Character history: Born the son of professional wrestling legends Kenjiro Ito (and his very patient wife, Keiko), Keiichi was born into an over-the-top world that he's taken to like a duck to water. From the age of 12, he's been slowly being trained and initiated by his father into the professional wrestling world, with the goal one day of being able to join his father as a pro wrestler.

Keiichi's other love is cooking, inspired in him by his mother from a similarly early age. Both mother and father have been very supportive of Keiichi in all of his efforts, especially school, where he's a solid if unspectacular student who works hard primarily because his father told him that it's important to have a good university degree in case professional wrestling doesn't work out.

Both of his parents were very loving, and he's grown up well-adjusted, if a bit out there (mostly due to his dad).

Personality: Keiichi's a pretty mild-mannered person most of the time, albeit with the tendency to be a little over the top. Not overdramatic, per se, but his emotions aren't moderated. He greets small setbacks with serious sadness, and happy events get great praise. He's very friendly, especially once he opens up and gets to know someone.

He also has puns. A metric pun of them. God, I'm sorry in advance, everyone.

As the Phoenix King, ALL of these traits get amplified to eleven.

Appearance:

Very mild-mannered and average guy looking. Keiichi’s his pic-base. He looks very much like “boring milquetoast anime main character.” Brown hair, green eyes, school uniform. The usual, really.

As his super-sentai inspired alter-ego, THE PHOENIX KING, he wears what can best be described as ghetto-chic superhero gear, with long red thermal underwear, orange painted briefs worn OVER said thermal underwear, and long sleeved red pajama top. He additionally wears a cape, red – with orange flames down the length, and a phoenix-styled half mask.

EQUIPMENT

Possible weapon: True champions of JUSTICE, DESU fight unarmed! (He uses pro-wrestling. And fire. Sometimes it’s pro-wrestling INVOLVING fire.)

Accessory: Wrestling trading card of his father, the great Hokkaido Bear, Kenjiro Ito.

MAGIC

Primary Element: FIRE

Secondary Element: MOAR FIRE

Arcana: IV - The Emperor

A LITTLE QUESTIONNAIRE

Does your character know martial arts: PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING IS THE STRONGEST MARTIAL ART – paraphrased from Kazushi Sakuraba, the Gracie Killer. Keiichi knows basic judo/jiu-jitsu techniques that have professional wrestling applications taught to him by his father. Striking, too, but most of it’s prowres influenced – not that he CAN’T Mongolian chop someone, but that’s not traditional martial arts, per se.

Does your character practice sports: PRO WRES 4 LIFE.

Has your character suffered a major injury in the past that would lower their physical capacity: Nope.

BASICS
Name: Tanigawa Ami
Age: 16
Occupation: Student/Idol
Character PB/Icon: Aisaka Taiga (Toradora)

BACKGROUND
Character history: Born to a wealthy family, Ami and her sister had everything they wanted. They grew up with summer homes, and housekeepers, with all the luxuries of that lifestyle. However, from a young age, Ami was jealous of her sister. She was a few years older, smarter, prettier, and more popular. For as long as she could remember Ami was envious of everything her sister had. She was able to coast through school, and always had a large group of friends around her. Ami wore glasses and didn’t really grow into her body until she was 13 or so, and her abrasive personality kept others away. The family’s attention was completely on Ami’s sister, and it only helped to make Ami more jealous.

When she turned 12, life started changing for Ami. She was able to convince her parents to get laser eye surgery, and her sister, in an act of false-kindness, told her parents to get Ami a personal trainer. In a year’s time Ami’s life was completely different. She was more in shape and had starting making more friends. She was given a chance at modelling from her sister’s agency as another false-kindness, only for it to backfire when Ami proved to be popular enough to be given a contract.

It was a fast turnabout, from being an unknown girl, to a Japanwide idol. People were lining up to see her, buying hundreds of her CD’s to post on 2ch, and following her everywhere. She was on TV at least once a day for one comedy show or another, and was being courted to do a role in an upcoming anime. It was becoming too much for the barely high school aged girl, so she decided to take some time off and attend normal school to see if her life could be less stressful.

Personality: Somehow, Ami has come out as being a little entitled, possibly because of her family spoiling her as a child, possibly as her foray into modelling where she went through a drastic change in her life. This leads her to be a little bossy sometimes, even when she doesn’t realize it.

She has a very hard time trusting anyone else, usually pushing away would be friends before they can get too close to her. However, she is desperate for friendship, and will try to get to know someone before making a decision.

Having just gone through a gigantic change in her life, Ami has a hard time jumping into things. She knows that she is able to experience life unlike she ever had before, but she is hesitant to do something if she thinks she will fail. This leads her to seem introverted or shy, even if she would love to be able to be outgoing like the other girls she admires.

Being a newly independent person, Ami has troubles caring for herself sometimes. She doesn’t know how to cook too well, she isn’t great at doing her own laundry, and she sometimes has trouble getting her hair together in the morning. However, she is adamant to be self sufficient and stop relying on others.

Ami likes manga, spicy foods, and cats. Her favorite class is math, and least favorite is biology. She hates running, but does it anyway to stay in shape. Her plan is to join the cooking club or the drama club, or anything that is seen as feminine.

Appearance: Ami is a short girl, slender, with wavy hair. She is very flat chested but she is still attractive. Her lolita-esque build helped garner a fanbase with idol job. She usually leaves her hair down, framing her face, almost as a way to hide when she wants to. Given her fame and fortune, she is most often dressed in expensive and fashionable clothes, with designer bags and high heeled shoes to round out her outfits.

However, if you manage to catch Ami early in the morning you might catch a glimpse of the girl in sweatpants and a hoodies, with her hair askew and looking like an utter mess.

BASICS
Name: Akito Terumi
Age: 17
Occupation:Student/Vice Student Council President
Character PB/Icon: Yakumo from Shinrei Taitei Yakumo

BACKGROUND
Character history:

Akito was born to the moderately wealthy Terumi family. The Terumis used to be wealthier but fell onto hard times, only crawling back up to upper-middle class through a lot of creative business decisions, calculations, and luck with plans to go further. Publically, the Terumis are the affectionate, 'perfect' ideal; privately, they're neutral at best.

Growing up in a family like this has 'warped' Akito, to put it lightly. No one really noticed since he was always such a 'good' boy growing up. Amiable, patient, honest, and flexible enough not be a goody-good or robot. Despite the occasional rumor of him being two-faced or how he supposedly set someone up or something a little less than squeaky clean, they're usually without grounds since it never suited the image he usually presented.

Sometime near the start of junior high, Akito suddenly got involved into several extracurricular activities, excelling in almost all of them. Akito had always been the type to score high but he seemed to be pushing himself to hit beyond the highest mark every time. It lasted for about a year but after an incident attributed to stress, he scaled it back to a few choice activities. Notably, he stopped doing drama, which had been something that he always seemed to enjoy and had been one of the club's best members.

What also changed was his relationship with his older brother by four years, Touya. Touya had been as highly intelligent and skilled Akito had been (though a vain playboy) so many people saw Akito's similarities as him taking after his brother, including how they did the same activities. They seemed to get along too, so it wasn't that surprising. However, there was this odd tension between them that could occasionally be felt whenever they were in the same room. Both brothers would smile and say it was for one stupid reason or other which always sounded reasonable but there were those times they couldn't neatly dismiss it. During those times, Akito would smile that ever present smile and politely but bluntly say it was family business and to kindly stay out of it.

For the past few years, Akito's only further perfected his 'mask' and stepford smiler skills. When he entered high school, he added another activity to strive for: school counsel. He was a treasurer in his first year and VP in his second year. Though he has a decent chance of president later, it wouldn't be out of character for Akito to trying hurrying up the process, provided he had the power and opportunity.

(Reply to this) (Thread)

[info]grinandbear
2013-01-13 11:05 am UTC (link)
Personality:

On the surface, Akito's honest, patient, reliable, kind, and cares about everyone around him. He takes his duties as vice president seriously, the type of person who seems to live for everyone else's happiness. He's always open to offering a willing listening ear. After all, it’s his duty as vice president to listen and help, right?

Unfortunately, that's just his mask. He's a stepford smiler; though the confidence, intelligence, and determination remain the same but inside, Akito's empty and calculating. He doesn't believe any of the bullshit he wraps up in pretty words. Even his 'listening to others' shtick is mostly just a way of gaining influence over people. His mask is a habit from being raised as the ideal son (not that he minds it either, it IS the ideal image after all) but on the rare occasion, his true nature peeks through and that's when you should start to worry. It's not that he dislikes people, he just doesn't particularly like them. They're tools, just like he can be; all that matters is fulfilling your ends.

He can also be petty and nurses grudges forever. He might put up with a lot of abuse but you can bet he's secretly keeping tally in his head for later with every intention of paying it back. The fact he has fantastic memorization skills and a mental 'cabinet' for everyone he knows helps him with that.

He's also a drama geek and actually pretty good at it (surprisingly, considering he pretty much acts all the time) but demurs on having any sort of ability towards it. You can occasionally catch dramatic flairs in his mannerisms and speech, though.

Appearance:

Akito's an attractive pretty boy and he knows it. He tries to exude openness and honesty, and is always ready with a smile. He stands at about 5'10 with an average build. His hair's dark brown, appearing black in some light and brown in others, and on the tostled side. Akito's dress is always almost perfect but he intentionally leaves himself just a bit off to appear more approachable. He honestly couldn't care less about fashion but wears whatever's classy and fashionable because it's all about image.

Akito usually wears his glasses while at school or social events because they tend to make his eyes look softer but switches to contact lens for physical activities and his own free time. Without those, his vision tends to lean towards blind bat but if he can use magic to fix it, he will.

As a note on PB eyes, Akito's eyes are naturally brown so feel free to ignore the red eye or just think of it as symbolism for him being the devil in plain sight. The red eye might actually happen, though, becoming something visible only to magic users and it would most likely be a magical byproduct.

EQUIPMENT
Possible weapon: Taser, shooting kind.

Accessory: Glasses

MAGIC
Primary Element: Dark

Secondary Element: Bolt

Arcana: Chariot

A LITTLE QUESTIONNAIRE
Does your character know martial arts: No
Does your character practice sports: He does well enough in sports, especially basketball, and was involved in many in junior high but he doesn't really practice outside P.E. class.

BASICS
Name: Mie Haruka
Age: 17
Occupation: Student/head of Drama Club
Character PB/Icon: Daughter, Princess Maker 5

BACKGROUND
Character history: The Mie family's roots run deep in the Osaka region, and most longterm residents know that a Mie is usually as good as their word. Haruka's branch of the family was nouveau riche, investing prudently during the bubble years and pulling out when things started to look bad. They then turned around and put that money into US investments, letting it grow and multiply. All this meant that Haruka and her siblings wanted for little growing up, and Haruka herself was more than a little spoiled. She fell in love with the glamour of fashion and acting, and immediately leapt at the chance to get involved in the Drama Club once she entered junior high, as was expected of her.

Unfortunately, with the recession in the US and elsewhere, most of the family's investments went sour, and they were forced to rein in their lifestyle severely, moving from Osaka proper to Hiyoku-cho in Haruka's first year of high school. Although it took some time to adjust, Haruka learned some amount of fiscal responsibility from her parents, and managed to help them soften the blow. She even went to work part-time at a cosplay cafe, something she never imagined she'd have to do, in order to pull her own weight at home. Still, at least it's acting experience of a sort...

Personality: If it were humanly possible to emit sparkles, Haruka would. She's a complete showoff, an attention magnet with seemingly boundless energy. Cheerful, passionate, and talkative, she's very charismatic, and a natural at acting. She's actually a genuinely nice person, if a little self-centered sometimes, and often takes underclassmen under her wing whether they like it or not. She's a dreamer with big ideas, and she hopes to see her name in lights someday. The Drama Club is her baby, and she'd defend it to the death.

Appearance: Haruka's hair is naturally a dark brown, but she usually streaks it with various colors, which she hides under a scarf/stylish hat/head accessory of the day during school. Her uniform is worn to regulations when people are looking, though she inches up the skirt when she can and wears thigh-highs for a zettai ryouiki effect (she's very proud of her legs, considering them her best feature). Her clothing outside of school is as stylish as she can manage on her budget, a sort of thrift-store Shibuya style.

EQUIPMENT
Possible weapon: None at the moment.

Accessory: A shooting star-shaped hairpin.

MAGIC
Primary Element: Bolt

Secondary Element: Fire

Arcana: Star

BASICS
Name: Niko Lovell
Age: 20
Occupation: College student/amateur musician/part-time coffee baristo
Character PB/Icon: Gilbert Nightray from PH

BACKGROUND
Character history:

Born into the Ookamine family, Niko was once the first son and heir to the Ookamine family. The Ookamines run the Eastern branch of a pharmaceutical company while their American close counterparts, the Wolfes, run the Western branch. However, Niko comes across very differently (read: misanthropic, grumpy asshole) than what you would expect from someone from such a prestigious family.

People who have known him far back enough know he wasn't always like that. Early on he was a well-behaved kid, excelled at school, and was sailing through life easily enough...and then he got older. As far back as late elementary/early junior high there have been behavioral issues with him. He used to fight a lot back then to blow off steam but seemed to have settled down once he got pressured into other activities, mainly music, and with the birth of his younger brother. However, something happened in the previous year that left Niko's hand burned, a lot of tensions in the Ookamine family, and Niko's foul attitude and habits taking a turn for the worst. It got to the point Niko went somewhere else for high school, giving both sides a much needed break.

Though Niko got somewhat 'better' again when he was away, there were fissures that were impossible to ignore. Outside or inside the family, it was very clear something was going on - at that point, it was a question of when the powder keg was finally going to go off. It finally did, not long after he entered college. The long short of it was that it ended with Niko leaving the family on terrible terms.

It's been a year since then. During the time he's officially changed his name from 'Nikolas Ookamine' to 'Niko Lovell', transferred from Tokyo to Hiyoku-cho for various reasons, struggled with 'freedom', and been more active in his musical pursuits. At the same time, there's a feeling of drifting and disconnect for Niko...

[info]not_broody
2013-02-22 11:16 am UTC (link)
Personality:

Niko's quiet, reserved, and the "brooding" figure of romances...until you get up close enough to realize he's actually a cranky bastard with misanthropic tendencies and a black sense of humour, making his default personality "prickly" to say the least. He's developing more control over his tongue and impulses recently but he can still be brutally honest and very stubborn about his views. He dislikes idiots or overly idealistic people, almost as much as he hates manipulative people or users. He also loves a good fight and is highly competitive IF you can get him interested in you.

That said, he can be a gentleman if he wants to - he believes in (loosely) doing the right thing and has chronic Knight in Sour Armor syndrome, especially involving females. He's just really awkward about being genuinely nice or showing that he caaaares, let alone dealing with people. Despite that he tries, in his own way, when he cares enough to try. To the people who he can care about (or a least people who stick around long enough to grow on him) he can be protective and loyal, sometimes to a fault, especially if he feels they're about to slip up bad. Or at least he's more prone to slipping into male tsundere mode. Despite what he might think about himself he’s not as uncaring or unaffected as he’d like to believe he is.

He does have his moments of NOT looking like he hates the world and everyone in it, usually when he's playing, but they're not common. Ways to his his buttons are to call him on his broodiness, keep pestering him about his hand, or just generally being nosy (ESPECIALLY about family).

Appearance: The most accurate way to describe Niko is the tall, mean, and broody. Niko's half American half Japanese on his father and mother's sides respectively. He's got wavy dark brown hair and light hazel eyes and stands at 6'3. He's got a killer smile but getting a genuine one out of him that's not sardonic or from battle-lust is hard. Usually, he's more likely to look "broody" (to his chagrin), scowly, or pissy.

Outside the school uniform or dressing up for gigs, he tends to favor casual and easy to move in clothing which usually might be whatever he grabbed off the floor that didn't stink or look a mess. Though not a slob, he prefers utility over appearances and as long as he doesn't look stupid. Also, he usually has his clip-on headphones attached to his shirt collar if they're not in his ears.

The most striking thing about Niko, however, is his burn scarred right hand. The scars have faded slightly but it can still be a lot of pain on some days and depending on what he's doing and in the worst cases it freezes up on him, to his deep frustration.

EQUIPMENT
Possible weapon: Fists/Weighted gloves->Knuckle Knife

Accessory: Headphones

MAGIC
Primary Element: Earth
Secondary Element: Wind

Arcana: Death

A LITTLE QUESTIONNAIRE
Does your character know martial arts: Does street fighting count?
Does your character practice sports: He did a bit of kendo in high school.
Has your character suffered a major injury in the past that would lower their physical capacity: His right hand, but it doesn't impede him most of the time. It only might but an issue if he's doing a lot a lot of activities that would strain it.

BASICS
Name: Kaori Kousaki
Age: 17
Occupation: Student/Ex-pop idol
Character PB/Icon: Reira Serizawa from NANA

BACKGROUND
Character history:
Kaori was born into showbiz. Her mother, Akemi, is a washed up pop idol that was popular during the eighties but faded into obscurity. Her father, Masaru, is a popular actor who's been featured in commercials, television dramas, and movies for well over a decade. Akemi, embittered by her failed music career and jealous of her husband's continued success, pushed both of her daughters into music, dance, and English lessons as soon as they were old enough to participate. Kaori's sister, Ayase, had no interest in becoming an idol and quit early on. Kaori, on the other hand, genuinely loved music and dancing, and idolized her mother as a child so Akemi focused all of her efforts on making Kaori into a star that would never fade from people's hearts.
When Kaori turned thirteen, Akemi deemed her ready for a debut and began showing her off to different talent agencies. At one point, Akemi had insisted on bleaching Kaori's dark brown hair to a much lighter shade that bordered on blond. She also had it permed and made her daughter wear blue contacts in order to give her a distinct look. It only took one audition with one of the top talent agencies in Osaka, courtesy of her mother's somewhat obsessive grooming, her father's well-known success, and the fact that Kaori genuinely had real skill and talent for singing and performance. The agency quickly placed Kaori in a new pop group with nine other girls called GLIMMER.
Kaori spent three years with GLIMMER, rising to stardom, and securing a position as group captain. It all came to an abrupt end when Kaori suddenly quit the band and left the agency without releasing a public statement to her fans. However, there are rumors that she was caught breaking her band's no-dating policy. She moved to Hiyoko-cho to live with Ayase, who was attending college there, and started high school as a third year.

Personality:
Kaori puts up a strong front but is much more sensitive and trusting than she lets on. As an idol, she was the sweet, friendly softie of the group but since then, she's grown considerably less friendly and more aloof. Kaori's a girl that prefers kindness over niceness and she has a tendency to dispense some tough love when her friends need it. She doesn't really make friends easily due to a rather direct, assertive, and outspoken nature . She also has a bit of a "me first" attitude that can be off-putting to some people. Kaori's a passionate girl (especially about music) but also temperamental and impatient and has been known to throw some pretty epic fits when overly stressed out. She's actually really intelligent, sophisticated, and surprisingly knowledgeable about a wide assortment of things. She's a little on the defensive side (and also painfully shy when it comes to sharing her true thoughts and feelings with others) and sometimes can seem oddly easy to fluster or embarrass on some subjects.

Appearance:
At first glance, Kaori looks like a foreigner with her long, thick, curly almost-blond hair. Even though her career ended, she still maintains the color and curls simply because she prefers it to her natural looks. Her eye color varies between blue and brown depending on whether she's wearing her contacts that day. She's been known to lose one or the other at time, giving the illusion that she has heterochromia. She's about average height for a Japanese woman, standing around 5'4", and maintains her ideal weight.

At school, Kaori's kind of a sloppy dresser. She tends to wear her blazer draped over her shoulders like a mantle, leave her uniform ribbon at home, and makes subtle personal additions to her uniform skirt like sewing a bit of lace onto the hem. She either leaves her hair down or wears it into a ponytail. On occasion she spruces her hair up a bit with floral themed hair accessories or actual flowers (though the latter tends to be outside of school).

Outside school, Kaori's pretty stylish and it's also clear that her fashion sense has been been influenced by Kumi Koda and Namie Amuro to some degree. Her clothing is never outright revealing or scandalous but there's a touch of sexiness there mixed in with the cute.

A LITTLE QUESTIONNAIRE
Does your character know martial arts: No, but she does know purse-fu.
Does your character practice sports: In addition to being a dancer, she's a runner but has never been on the track team or anything. Most of her experience comes from running away from fans who recognize her. She's a surprisingly good sprinter and has more stamina than one might expect from a girly-girl like her.
Has your character suffered a major injury in the past that would lower their physical capacity: When she was younger, she was treated for a stress fracture in her right foot. It only bothers her when it's cold or during pressure changes.
