Clary folded into his arms easily, her own coming up to wrap around his torso as she hugged him tightly. She'd been trying to be too clingy but it was really hard for her to not hold him a little tighter every time now, the experience of him dying in her arms still so recent that it actually took her breath away if she let her mind relive it. She did her best to push it down and not dwell on the way things almost were but any chance she got to wrap her arms around him, the realization that he could be lost made her hold on just a little bit longer.
It seemed kind of silly for Jace to miss her because she had just been with him, right before she got here. Ever since the events at Lake Lynn, she spent more time sleeping in his bed than her own. But, she got that time was weird here and so he'd spent a lot more time without her than she realized. Just the thought of it, of being away from him all that time, Clary couldn't help but be a little saddened.
Finally, she pulled away just enough to look up at him, her hand reaching up to touch his face. The pad of her thumb brushed adoringly over his cheekbone as she considered him. "Are you okay?" She asked. "I mean, you look okay but this is all really weird and I just... You're okay, right?"
