When another voice spoke, she barely heard what they were saying. Whether she couldn't make out the words because they were muffled somehow or because Roth kept calling her name. "Lara." She couldn't hear herself think, and couldn't think as to why she was seeing Roth. Lara knew that there was a chance that he could arrive here, but this was something different.
Lara breathed in and took her hands off her face. She wasn't crying, but her eyes burned and the look of grief and anguish was plain across her face. "What?" She said blinking until she saw the extra coffee in his hand. Oh. Right. She had been ordering a drink. "Do-" She paused for a second with Roth still standing there next to the kid, whose name she didn't know. "Do you see him?" Motioning her head towards the direction of where Roth was standing.
"Only you can see me, Lara." Roth said kindly. "You're still carrying so much guilt-" Lara shook her head.
"Never mind," she said as she reached for the coffee in the kid's hand. "Thanks for bringing this to me."
