Tommy had decided it was time for another round of get to know your teammates better, okay it wasn’t actually his idea but TBD told him he should do it and he got off his arse and told Katie to meet him.
“Sit your skinny arse down.” Tommy barked at Katie Bell when she came into the Three Broomsticks. He was already sitting at a table with a few shot glasses and a couple of pints on the table all ready to go for them.
Raising her brow slightly at the collection of drinks on the table, Katie wasted no time in taking a seat. “If drinking is your idea of team bonding, I’m a big fan of it,” she teased as she reached for a shot. “What are we drinking to?”
Tommy held up a shot glass thinking about it for a second, shrugging he didn’t really care. “Fuck if I know.” He added before speaking again. “Sláinte.” He downed the shot before studying her for a second. “You think the team’s working out?”
Katie grinned and echoed his toast as she downed her own shot. “Yeah, I think we’re doing all right,” she said honestly. She didn’t know Alura as well since she was newer to the team than both her and Tommy, but she liked her well enough, and she thought they worked well together.
He nodded, agreeing for the most part. "Alura seems to be fitting in okay." He commented although he wasn't sure he was being good enough of a team leader, never really was his strong suit. "Think you'd be up for challenging another team to a paintball tourney?"
“Hell, yeah!” Katie agreed, nodding enthusiastically to the suggestion. She’d played a few times since coming to Atlantis and thought it was a lot of fun. “Do you already have a team in mind?”
“Not yet, but I’m sure most would be up for it,” Tommy admitted. “Anyone you’d want to go up against?”
“What about Team 11?” Katie said the first number that popped into her mind. She had to think for a minute to remember who was on that one. “That’s Taisia’s team, isn’t it?”
“Quill and the hawk guy, Clint,” Tommy was not going to admit that he thought Hawkeye was one of the best superheroes and underrated to anyone. What? He’d been a kid he read some comics. “They’d be a good one to go up against, tough, slightly different skill set, challenging.” He nodded. “Let’s set it up.”
Katie nodded and grinned at her team leader. “Yeah, lets!” she agreed as she reached for another shot.
“Take another shot, and we’ll tell them to get their arses over here for an official challenge,” Tommy held up his glass with a grin.
