It won't work twice, but she believes herself justified, always. She considers rule her right, and in Narnia she did have jurisdiction to punish traitors. She had amassed an army by the time we located her then and believed herself invincible. She was proud. She came. Magic workers and others had arranged a trap around the witness box that could hold her, and a man with power over metal was able to disarm her of her wand.
It helped that I was the one to serve the summons. She would be more likely now to bide her time and avoid a confrontation, but she may show herself to me eventually. I escaped her, and it galls.
