Sitting on the couch leaning into Sam she was flipping through the network to see everything she’d missed while on mission, while she’d seen some stuff while gone she still felt like she’d missed a lot. She looked for clues on what had happened with Crappie and Emilia but not much popped up except some puppies appearing in Octavia’s flat. Alicia didn’t blame Octavia at all, she knew that sometimes you just couldn’t control magic, she just hated that Em was hurting.
“I have half a mind to go punch the fucking Crappie.” She grumbled as she glared at her device. “He’s…” she growled as she sat up her eyes looking around on the floor for where she’d kicked her shoes off. He knew it was a million shades of complicated. He was used to complicated relationships after all, one of the things he loved about Als was how honest it was. They were in love and neither of them had to question it. He’d talked to Emilia but it was still just...complicated. “You could. He’d probably let you. But...it’s a mess babe, it’s a mess and I really believe he knows he messed up. But focus on your sister. She needs you.” Alicia was understandably angry. But first instincts could be wrong. “It’s not that complicated,” Alicia countered even though she knew it was more complicated than she was thinking. “He broke her heart!” she said tossing her arms in the air. “And by all accounts it’s because he’s too much of a coward, if he really was worried about this other girl it shouldn’t have taken this long to decide what he had with Em wasn’t good enough.” Yeah. He had done. He’d talked to Emilia and she was hurting. “I know. I know he did.” He didn’t exactly have any sympathy for the guy. “Thing is, I know where she is, I’ve been there, someone I was with, someone I loved that couldn’t stop loving someone else. It’s better that it’s clean." He moved closer to her, she was angry, ranting. And she had every right. “C’mere” he said, holding out his hand. "How is this clean? He strung her along for ages, months and months and one day some magic causes him to cheat, and he ditches her?" She ranted, truthfully if she ever met his ex, she'd want to punch her too, but Alicia managed to keep that one in for a moment. "Yeah, well, she was an idiot for ever treating you that way," Alicia said wincing slightly afterwards. "And I get to say that as your current girlfriend." She added quickly as she took his hand looking at him still torn between going out and beating the crap out of Cappie or letting him talk her out of it. If he was honest he kind of wanted to punch Cappie too, but he couldn’t let her do something he knew she’d wind up regretting. And, then there was the other thing. The little bit of hope he had that Cappie wasn’t a complete frak up. “He told her.” he said simply. “Magic cheating or not, he told her. He didn’t…” Sam didn’t know how to phrase it but he had to try “I don’t know if Kara cheated on me physically, but she did cheat emotionally. That’s 100% fact. And honestly, it felt so much worse. So...this way he’s not doing that anymore. I hate that it took this magic thing with Octavia cause question becomes, would he have told her about the rest of it?. But we can’t know that and punching him isn’t the answer.” He took her other hand. “He doesn’t deserve your sister. But please, be the bigger person here?” "He didn't have to tell her, but it's Em, she's the most understanding person I know, and he's a," Alicia stopped herself to look at him. She didn't know how much Kara did or didn't cheat on him and she really, really couldn't stand thinking about someone hurting Sam like that, it just infuriated her. Letting him take her other hand she knew he had her. "Bigger person," Alicia said narrowing her eyes before trying to keep an annoyed expression on her face, she was tiny compared to Cappie, she knew what he meant, she just couldn't help herself. She was still annoyed, and he wasn’t here to stop her being annoyed. She was more than entitled to be annoyed, her sister had been hurt. And Cappie was an idiot. “Yes. He is. He absolutely is. But knocking him out will only feel good for a little while. Ultimately it’s not going to change anything.” He moved closer to her, moving a hand to cup her cheek. “You don’t have to like him, or forgive him. No one expects that. But Emilia needs you.” he said, meeting her gaze. Alicia sighed a bit annoyed, she hated feeling like she was an idiot, and that was kind of how she felt. "I will always be there for my siblings," Alicia was always there for them, alright she was there for three of them, one, that was a different story. "Even if I did get at him, I'd always be there for Em." He knew what he’d said now, that it might have come out wrong. “I know. I know, I’m not saying you wouldn’t. I suck at this. Just...it’s not gonna do any good, going after him, you know that, right?” He generally didn’t argue in these situations. Leftover from Kara he supposed, you didn’t argue because there was no point. "Doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun to scare him just a bit, no beating him up, just keep him on his toes," Alicia still thought the jerk should know what he did was horrible and the way he'd treated Em wasn't okay. "And you don't suck at. I'm just angry because I know you're right." She gave him a soft smile. “You could do one of your hexes?” he suggested with a smile. “Just one of the little annoying ones?” He watched her for a moment, squeezing her hand. “I’m right but you’re entirely justified in how you feel.” He wasn’t entirely sure he was saying the right thing but he was trying. A slightly evil grin crossed her features as her eyes started to shine. "An itching hex, wouldn't last forever, don't worry, but just enough..." She said as her mind started to work on how exactly it would work. "Don't rub it in," she teased leaning forward giving him a quick kiss. “Then there you go” he said, before she leaned forward to kiss him. “Itching hex. But not right now. Let me make you a drink, you need a few hours to relax.” |
