Well, his father was his father still, Jacen couldn't help but think as he pondered whether it'd be better to buy them all a round of coffee or tea before they went further or just get it over with. Then again, under the current circumstance, he was thinking - probably just get out with it. His father's patience seemed to be wearing thin, and Jacen could always go buy them something after and let Jaina deal with that.
He glanced over at his mother, not particularly reaching out in the Force - he didn't do that as much as he used to - but instead looking over her features, which he knew well enough to guess at her thought process right now.
"I suppose you've heard a bit about the different timelines," he said calmly. He didn't have much practice in doing this. "Well, both Jaina and I are from your future, or a future anyway." That was a whole other thing he wasn't going to touch. "We're siblings, the two of us, twins actually, although we've some age difference between us as well, and we've got a younger brother at home that isn't here. But we know both of you in the future, because you're our parents."
