25 February - postmission
Emilia Spinnet ✦ Alicia Spinnet
Girl Talk - Em tells Als about the breakup PG - No Warnings Closed & Complete |
For the last 10 days, what Emilia had really wanted was her sister. She hadn’t wanted to tell her over the network about what had happened, especially with her being off on a mission and as great as Sam and Rocco had both been, it was Alicia she really needed to talk it all through with. That was why she’d asked for some sister time before Rocco met them for dinner and she was glad Alicia had agreed. She made her way over to Alicia’s place, taking her time to give her sister a little time to get changed. As she arrived and knocked, the first thing she did when Alicia answered was hug her. Emilia had grown used to Alicia being away on mission, but this one had felt particularly long, probably because the entire time she had just wanted a hug from her big sister. Not having a clue what was going on, Alicia knew something was up with Emilia but she didn’t know what. After getting back to the flat she changed quickly and heard the knock she headed to the door, she was about to say something when Emilia was hugging already. A hug didn’t worry her, but something was really wrong. Alicia didn’t say anything, she just hugged her sister back for a few moments before leaving an arm around her shoulders and turning into the flat, once the door was closed she spoke. “Em, what happened?” “Am I that obvious?” Emilia didn’t wait for an answer before she shifted her weight from one foot to the other and looked down for a moment, telli Alicia what she’d come here to tell her. “Cappie broke up with me.” Alicia was going to give a full rundown about how big sisters knew things but all of that stopped. “What?” Emilia gave her a look as she lifted her head again. “You heard me,” she said. She didn’t want to have to say the words again. Alicia frowned looking at her sister. "What happened? I thought you were doing good?" That was hard to answer, because Em wasn’t even really sure, herself. “He slept with Octavia,” she offered, because that was where the conversation with Cappie had started. “When everyone was channeling their inner Disney. I guess between that and [...] when the kids from the future showed up, he just decided our relationship was doomed to fail, so it was better to just end it now?” It was clear from the confused look on Emilia’s face that she didn’t agree with that or understand how he could just give up on them so quickly. Opening and shutting her mouth a few times Alicia could think of a few things she wanted to say but none of them were directed at her sister. "That," she started but stopped. "It," she paused taking a breath. "Em, you deserve a hell of a lot better and I'd go beat the crap out of him if I thought it wouldn't upset you." She said her eyes narrowing. "I'm so sorry," She added pulling her sister into a hug. Emilia didn’t say anything for a little while. She just leaned into the hug and took some comfort from her big sister. After a while, she pulled back a little. “It’s okay. I’m okay. Maybe he’s right,” she said, not fully believing the last part, but saying it anyway. “Maybe it’s not fair to stay together if I can’t say for sure what I’d do if Luke showed up. I know if Casey did, he’d choose her.” Alicia rolled her eyes. "Em, whatever you potentially would decide you'd handle it with class and understanding, we both know that, breaking up with you because of what could be..." She let it drag out. "That's just..." She sighed not really wanting to talk to her about how much she wanted to beat the crap out of her ex. "You deserve better." “Maybe,” Emilia agreed, partly for the sake of not really wanting to argue about it. “I guess it doesn’t matter, anyway. It’s over, whether I agree with it or not.” "Em," Alicia sighed angry at the fact that Cappie could be such a fucking idiot. "Hey, glass of wine, dinner with Rocco and tomorrow we're going to the spa." She almost suggested having a sleepover but she felt so selfish that she wanted to spend time with Sam. “Sounds perfect,” Em agreed, offering up a weak smile as she hugged her sister again. |
